I have in the last couple of days come across this newspaper article:

Gloucester Citizen Newspaper Thursday 4th August 1927

FOUND. Zeppelin bomb dropped during war was found in the mud mill-dam near the premises Messrs. Sanderson Bros, at Brightside, Sheffield

Can anyone shed any light on this for me please ?

I think the article could be refering to
Sheffield"s first air raid 25th Sept 1916.

It's dated 1927 not 1916, so I think it must be correct

I think the article is saying-
" that a bomb that was dropped in The First World War has just been discovered in 1927 ".

Yes correct, dropped when L22 raided Sheffield and this particular bomb was found later in 1927. Does anyone have any information, newspaper clippings or similar please ?
