The Wilfong Warrant
Re: The Wilfong Warrant

It took nearly four months for this to come down and we have been paying him all along!

Re: The Wilfong Warrant

Better late than never, 'ol tater. So much for your blowhard claims that nothing would be done. I guess the Sheriff and the Prosecutor covered this one up like you have suggested for the past several weeks. Not! Both public officials have performed admirably in the investigation, and now Wilfong will have his day in court to answer the charges against him. Once again, and I've lost count, you have been proven wrong.

Re: The Wilfong Warrant

I would bet that there was A LOT of deliberation by those close and directly related to the investigation.
You didn't need a PhD to evaluate the fraudulent checks-
J.J.& E- anything to get under Norman's skin. Well, he's laughing all the way to the Courthouse.

They took their sweet time moving this thing along. 'Can't afford a mistake and let the peons get one over on us'. Plus, they were MAD. Imagine, a disgruntled winner. End of Chapter One.

Re: The Wilfong Warrant

Yes, I heard that it took the investigators a whole Two hours to figure out what happened!! It took David J four months to do what they did in 120 minutes.

I personally nominate tater tot for the Common Sense of The Year Award. Seriously.

The critics though.....

You know, the thing is; all the critics can say what they want but, we didn't create this problem. We didn't tell Wilfong to counterfeit checks. We didn't tell his Mommy to go bragging about her relation to Jonese and how her boy would walk away.

We merely told the story. You, the critics read that story believing it was a lie. The proof is in the pudding now. Sorry for your luck. Laugh all you want now. You're just laughing at yourselves......... along with the rest of the county.

Re: The Wilfong Warrant

Some people can't stand it when the old tater is right!

Re: The Wilfong Warrant

No tater no one is upset about whether you are right or not. You of all people should know how long litigation takes. You need to make sure you have all the facts and they are correct before going in half cocked and make a mistake that costs someone money. Didn't little Alkire get a bunch of money from the county? Laws were created to prevent the lynch mobs from deciding guilt and acting before proof was found. You head up those mobs Norman and expect quick actions based on your opinion. Indeed Wilfong has been charged but what would have happened if he had been dismissed without pay, railroaded like you wanted, then found to be innocent? Who pays that big lawsuit then? You don't use your head Norman, just your mouth. Give all these problems a chance to work out, even if it takes a few months. Like I started saying, you should know how this goes. How long did it take in some of your personal cases to get a decision? You have no room to brag about being right. Most gossip mongers are right in some way, but we don't have to praise them like you want everyone to do to you. Give yourself a little pat and move on to someone else Norman. You get your kicks in seeing good people fail and defend the ones on the wrong side of the law. These people didn't get in that place by some crooked official setting them up. They got there by breaking the law. Our sheriff and prosecutor are doing fine at their jobs. What you want is immediate action without thought and that isn't going to happen. So go eat some crow, you said the sheriff wouldn't do anything about Wilfong and you were WRONG. Have a nice day!!!!!

Re: The Wilfong Warrant

AMEN!! Very well said!

Re: The Wilfong Warrant

But I must point this out, if an average Joe such as myself, were the one who had their name on these checks, it would not have taken the police, or the magistrate four months to issue a warrant for my arrest and throw me in jail. I can speak from personal experience that Kathy Beverage and the Pocahontas Sheriff's Department will throw you behind bars and not think twice about it even if the charges are false. I spent seven days in jail before I was found not guilty of the crime I had been accused of by Danith Miller. The people that testified against me were caught up in many different lies on the witness stand. My bond was set so high that I could not get out of jail and I now have seven days of my life gone, Spent in agony at Tygart Valley Regional. Beverage could have at least looked into my defense and the fact that i had several witnesses to tell her that I never did the things I was being accused of, she wouldn't listen to them, she was hell bent on putting me in jail. Would you like it if this were to happen to you? And by the way my charge was a misdemeanor. Why did he get off so easily on five felonies?

A Couple Points

Did it take the dopeheads 4 months to get busted?

Were they handcuffed?

Was Wilfong involved in the bust?

What kind of testimony will Wilfong have now?

Will the dopeheads be let go because of Wilfong?

Did the dopeheads have someone working for the sheriff?

How many "facts" do you need? Would a couple checks satisfy you?

Obviously, you are extremely mixed up because I, for one, an not defending Wilfong. I didn't defend Robbie Alkire. So where am I wrong?

Let's address each question in order:

Rumor has it the investigation of the first bunch busted started a year ago. Haven't heard about others, but would bet it wasn't overnight.

Did YOU see Wilfong handcuffed??????????

What does the accusation against him have to do with him being in on a bust for drugs??????????????? Ben's problem appears to be simple stupidity.

Not sure what this even means..............

Why should they? This has nothing to do with his charges.

What is the meaning of this question anyway????????

Wilfong was arrested. That is what you wanted right? Now let the court do its work and see the outcome. I'm sure it won't suit you no matter what happens, but wait and see.

No one said you defended Wilfong, you just stated many, many times that the sheriff had headed down the Alkire road and wasn't likely to do anything to Wilfong. You bad mouthed the sheriff and prosecutor saying they neither one was doing their jobs and needed replaced. You were WRONG about that Norman. The sheriff turned over the information to the SP and they took care of the matter. The prosecutor filed the charges. What else do you want in today's judicial system? Wilfong now gets his trial. The sheriff doesn't have any business doing his own internal investigation, so he followed proper procedures. You did your part Norman, pull your nose out and let it be, then move on to someone else. Nuff said..............................

Re: A Couple Points

You don't seem to get it:

Truth on the witness stand under oath is a valuable commodity. Someone who counterfeits a check is unlikely to be considered credible on the witness stand. That is the point that I am making. A good defense lawyer is sure to bring this matter up when the trial of the dopeheads occurs.

Now that Totten has lied under oath that makes two deputies who have proven that they will lie under oath.

Re: A Couple Points

The bad thing is that if Totten proves that he didn't lie, then we have to assume that David J, the sheriff lied about the existence of video tape. I DON'T WANT TO BELIEVE THAT THE SHERIFF WOULD LIKE TO ME. Please give me that peace of mind!!!!!

We, the citizens, have to have total and complete confidence in our officers!

Re: We, the citizens, have to have total and complete confidence in our officers!

Re: A Couple Points

Spin:

Don't let these monkeys pull your chain. Remember one of my questions? Was it pure arrogance or stupidity? It was BOTH! Wilfong did not do his homework. How stupid was it to make up fake checks when it was so easy to prove? GREED would be another reason Wilfong failed. He could have easily payed his feed bill.

Bravo JJ&E? Citizens like this are the reason the corruption breeds and grows. Without someone to point out the filth, where would this community be? Still choking on it. Whistle blowers threaten the weak who choose to sit on their duffs and do nothing. It chalks up to be pangs of guilt.

Norman, keep blowing that whistle until the cows come home.

Ever think the sheriff just tells you what you want to hear to get rid of you from his office? I know I probably would to keep you from badgering me. He is under no obligation to tell you anything, especially about an ongoing case.

In the other above statement you mention credible witnesses. Well how credible are some of the folks on here you defend with your camera during interviews? No names needed but everyone you stick a camera in front has either been set up or being railroaded by a crooked cop, lawyer, or magistrate. Imagine that?

Re: A Couple Points

Why don't you post a moniker? It takes nerve to be videotaped, a lot more nerve than typing a few critical lines and then high-tailing it.

You don't believe in the corruption or are you just making yourself feel better for just sitting on your duff in denial?

Re: A Couple Points

Norman,
What's the big deal about the Sheriff telling you a lie just to get you out of his office. You didn't have any business in the incident at all. He was not on trial with a judge or jury when he told you the lie. He just told you something so you would go away. Like alot of other folks have done.

Re: A Couple Points

would the same apply to the wv gazette, the inter-mountain, or the pocahontas times???

Re: A Couple Points

Tater Tot, so much for a moniker, huh? No denial here, just believe our officials should be given a chance, that's all. Stinkwell campaigned sooooooo hard for our sheriff and prosecutor and less than 6 months into their positions he's treating them like crap, telling readers its time to get rid of them. Only because they don't do exactly what Norman, you and other followers want to see. You must be one of those that has been wrongly accused by our corrupt county huh?

Re: A Couple Points

I didn't ask about the cam video. David volunteered that information! He said, "There was video tape."

When "mystery cop" took off, I was wishing it hadn't happened. I did not want to isolate our new officials
so early in their terms. Although the described behavior claimed in that incident was abhorant, I really hated that it happened.

Yes, there are scores to settle for me and others who were wronged by previous County officials. I truly believe that Sheriff Jonese and PA Price are really not interested in correcting situations that are still occurring.

The last thing we all wanted was more of the same. I am disabled and alone. The crap going on just does not quit. Nobody wants to go up against a Circuit Court Judge that's out of control.

Re: A Couple Points

Tater Tot I couldn't tell it any better. I am glad someone sees this corruption and is not afraid to voice it. The worse thing about the case is that all Ben had to do was talk with Tim and he would have worked something out with him. Tim is a good man but he won't be made a sucker. Ben tried to make him a sucker but Ben did not know Tim had a brain.
Is Ben that ignorant? Please answer me? How does someone that would do that become a deputy?
I think our Sheriff needs to stop thinking like a military officer and use some sense rather than backing these dollar mules.

Preacher, firstly, I personally appreciate your and tater tot's posts. They are insightful and profound.

Secondly, one of my main sources for the information I get explained rather well what happened to Ben. He simply stated that when Ben got that badge pinned on his chest, Ben's uh..... manly region grew about 6 inches (his words, not mine). In other words, he got arrogant and thought he was untouchable. This came from a man that dealt with Wilfong on a daily basis and has known him for several years and witnessed the changes first hand. I have to believe him.

Re: A Couple Points

The Inner Layer has it right. I have actually seen the statement in its full and inglorious form. He has tamed it down a little because it is worse than his words would indicate.

BUT IT IS SO TRUE! We have a problem with arrogance in our police department. Look at what has gone on in Pocahontas County alone!

You can shoot up the town (if you wear a badge)
You can get filthy, stinking drunk (if you wear a badge)
You can have sex with any girl from 13 to 80 (if you wear a badge)
You can invade the evidence room and OD on the evidence and you will be promoted to a prosecutor (if you wear a badge)
You can stop a young woman and rub your hands all over her body (if you wear a badge)
You can have oral sex with a girl (if you wear a badge)
You can get an underage girl pregnant (if you wear a badge)

The badge is the key to a police officer's love life. They have a special room in the court house where you can get all the girl bait you need for free!

Smoke it, chew it, or snort it! The sheriff's office will replenish the supply with the next bust.

And there are enough filthy sluts out there ready to lay with anyone who has the "where-with-all"

Lie, cheat, and steal! There is nothing too low or despicable for our sheriff's department to stoop.

They lie under oath and the new sheriff will throw the challenger out of the hearing. The magistrate will then convict the victims on false testimony. THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED IN KATHY BEVERAGE'S COURT.

I saw it; I was there when it happened. I was the one Sheriff Jonese escorted out because I asked to testify that his own officer was lying under oath.

David Jonese can't stand it when a citizen volunteers to impeach his officers.

Re: A Couple Points

Re: A Couple Points

Turning over an investigation to the state police is an inappropriate response to a sexual assault when the state police are some on the biggest sex offenders in the area.

All Totten did was to make the stop of Darla and Lester. All Totten had to do was ensure that his camera was pointing away from where the partner was rubbing on the girls buttocks and crotch. He did the job and did it well.

Jonese turned over the investigation of the matter to the state police despite the fact that his own deputy was on the scene and it was believed that the person doing the assault was a state policeman.

NOW NOTICE SOMETHING HERE: The state police have never reported what they found and it has been almost four months. Why? BECAUSE THEY ARE COVERING THIS ASSAULT UP.

Also please keep in mind that the Wilfong affair occured AFTER the sexual assault. It has now resulted in an arrest of the deputy but there has been no arrest of Totten or the sexual assailant in the matter DESPITE THE FACT THAT IT OCCURRED BEFORE THE WILFONG MATTER.

David Jonese has got a lot of tall explaining to do.

Man I tell you what, the things you've said in this thread would scare me to death to put in writing. You have made accusations against an entire sheriff's department over the wrong doings of 2 deputies, only one of which has had charges brought against him. You are slandering other men that have not had a thing proven against them as far as I know. Of course I don't know near as much as you, tater tot, yyz, Preacher, and whoever else you write under. You refer to filthy sluts, yet call yourself a preacher. What a joke.

And last but not least: What makes you such a credible witness that the magistrate should have allowed you to testify as to what the sheriff told you or that his deputy was lying under oath? Where was it proven he lied under oath? Oh because YOU say so I suppose?

You've gone too far this time Norman and I believe your words are going to come back on you. As much as I've enjoyed some threads and information on this site, it's threads like this one that will turn readers away, and I for one am gone at the end of this writing. Ta Ta Tater

Re: A Couple Points

I take you at your word; please be gone! Secondly, I claim no special right as a witness except that I was there when the sheriff said that there was video tape and I was there when Totten claimed there wasn't.

Someone's lying! I got it narrowed down to two people--either the sheriff or Totten. The two statements are contradictory! Only one can be true! I have said previously that I don't want to believe that our sheriff would lie! But his own deputy testified in contradiction to him! The two of them needto get together and get their story straight.

Re: A Couple Points

Secondly, Lester and Darla have every right to exculpatory evidence. I had testimony which would have clarified that exculpatory evidence existed--the video tape. It was a violation of their civil rights to have denied Lester a look at the video!

Re: A Couple Points

Thirdly, I don't claim that the whole department did this but that at least one of the department did each of these things. In some cases it was a different person who did some of these things. In some cases, one person did more than one of these things.

Now do you want me to attach names of each of those who did these things or rely upon your own memory of who did what?

Re: A Couple Points

Fourthly, it will be a cold day in hell when a preacher is supposed to refer to a "filthy slut" as an "angel." No a filthy slut is an excellent and precise name for a person who engages in the kind of behavior I am referring to.

I owe it to the person and to my God to call sin a sin! Enough said!

So you just take your little, puny, panty waist, milksop, self-righteous self and never get back on etater again. Goodbye!

Re: A Couple Points

So many of you out there were jumping on Norman because he earnestly supported Sheriff Jonese and PA Price, some saying his support was why they were elected.

Jonese and Price were elected because of themselves, not just because Norman was backing them.

Also, both Sheriff Jonese and PA Price said they intended to "clean up" and the bad behavior was going to stop.

So if that proves to be untrue, DO NOT come back and point the finger at Norman. Remember, when you are doing the pointing, there's three fingers pointing back at yourselves.

If you don't wish to post or read Etater.com, DON'T.
Nobody needs weak-kneed sissies terrified of strong
