Our local correspondent has reported that the Pocahontas Producers has a $3,000 money problem. According to him, someone has run up $3,000 worth of credit with the Producers and then paid them with a check. However, the check has come up missing and this person swears that he paid the bill!

We called Terry Boggess who wouldn't confirm the shortage and actually seemed a bit surprised. We are not sure if he knows what is going on. (He lives in Lewisburg)

We have a man attempting to get the names of all the board members so that they can be contacted.

So far our correspondent has discovered that there are no records for 2006 and that the Federal government is conducting an investigation. Stayed tuned!

It shouldn't be too hard to determine if the $3,000 was actually paid or not! And of course, the person who claims to have paid the debt would be in a position to prove with a canceled check that he paid the bill. Then it is a matter of checking to see what happened to the check! Pretty Simple?
