Yes, indeed our noble assistant prosecutor has shaved 6 mph off the young man's speeding ticket in exchange for a plea of no contest. 39 mph down to 34 mph. I can't get any word from the magistrate as to what happened to the discovery request for the radar calibration records. Janet apparently never saw any.
I am more and more confident that these guys are not calibrating their radars!!!!
But one thing is for sure: These guys will deal when you request a look at the calibration records. Gibb could have gotten off by just waiting for the cops to come up with the records but sometimes impatience kicks in too quickly.
He did save himself a lot of headache and now it will be possible to do 34 down by the library because you know that J.L. won't enforce a speed limit greater than 34. Thanks to the 14th amendment ot the US constittuion this has effectively rewritten the speed limits for the town of Marlinton.
