Editor's Note: I subscrbe to the Six degrees of separation (also referred to as the "Human Web") which refers to the idea that, if a person is one step away from each person they know and two steps away from each person who is known by one of the people they know, then everyone is at most six steps away from any other person on Earth. With this in mind, I am researching our county's history for "famous" people who may have a relationship to the county.
I may have found my first: Paul Mason the saxophone player for Tommy Dorsey. Mason once managed the Pocahontas County Fair after his retirement.
