Re: Greenbrier River Declared a Public Highway 1838

Thanks for the history lesson,S Tater.I was born on the banks of the Greenbrier and appreciate your posts about it. I hope you can find the story about the town of Hinton suing the Town of Durbin because they found cowhair from the old tannery in their drinking water. Durbin is bordered on 2 sides by the Greenbrier but its officials have never shown any interest in showcasing it nor the historic Parkersburg Staunton Turnpike which winds through Durbin and Frank on its way to Bartow and the state of Virginia. I wager that if we could get you elected as the Mayor of Durbin, you would promote its history along with the Greenbrier. I wonder if we can get the new co-ordinator interested in Northern Pocahontas.

I am aware of the Hinton controversy, may even have some info but will definitely turn my mind toward more.
