My mouse has reported in that Ben has paid Tim Wilfong all he owes him (no interest of course) and that he now has receipts which he presented to David Jonese the other day and asked for his job back.

David, in his typical conciliatory fashion (code for two-faced) consoled Ben and politely informed him that he couldn't him back to work because of the "public scrutiny" (read etater.com)on the case. (code for "things are too hot politically right now")

Then Ben got him to sign an unemployment form for him!

What David didn't know (but found out later) Ben was wearing a wire! He had recorded Jonese BS and has it now available for a massive lawsuit against the county. Seems like David has cost the county a lot of money with that little conversation.

So watch what happens! Too many taters are watching! Jonese is quickly hanging himself on his own rope.

I am not at all surprised at Jonese's two-faced manner because he did it to me. In front of me he says one thing and then when I offer to quote him he escorts me from the room so that I can't testify about his side of the conversation.

This is not the way to go in Pocahontas County. The bad guys are not the only one who have informants. We have ears listening everywhere! Being two-faced will catch up with you in this county.

Frankly, I think that Wilfong has worked Jonese like a top! He wound him him and his watching him spin out in front of the whole county. I'll bet you that Jonese is trying to figure out what he said to Ben.

He managed to get the charges drop for five felonies and he thinks that paying Tim is going to undo his crime. (Won't work) Now he has DAvid J and probably Donna in a bind. How can they prosecute him when he has some "tape" hanging over Jonese's head? Don't look for any charges to be filed now! I think Ben just wormed his way to freedom and a whole lot of money!!!!!!

By the way, folks we need to call a halt to Jonese's illegal rock business.

Seriously, isn't it amazing how many ears and eyes this county has? You know what this tells me? There are still decent people in this county! To that you may say: "Yeah people that have a vendetta against the dept because of their past!" The retort to that is simple. You may be surprised who the "sources" are. These are great people with a long history of protecting the people of Pocahontas county.

Thank God for those sources!!!!

Don't forget Ben was trained by WV finest. This training can be used for good or bad.

Looks to me like stealing is stealing. How could you forge checks,lose your job,then pay the money back? I know this is Pocahontas County Justice,but come on let's get serious.Go to WalMart and try this, see how far you get.

I have not been following this case all that close but I am familiar with it. I'm confused about something if Ben did lose his job over this then why shouldn't the sheriff sign his unemployment papers that's what they are for aren't they?

if i was the sheriff of pocahonts co. i would feel it would be my duty to arrest wilfong. he needs jail time.

Exists there a soul in Pocahontas County who thinks that Wilfong did counterfeit those checks. Do I need to reprint those who the more dense citizens? I realize that there might be some soul who has been hiding under a rock who doesn't know about this?
