I normally don't speak out on political issues, but this scares me to death, for my own health and that of my family's. I received the message and link below from a friend a few minutes ago. It is a link to an interview by Fred Thopmson of Betsey McCaughey, former lieutenant governor of New York and is an adjunct senior fellow at the Hudson Institute.

Please listen to it. My father passed away a few months ago from Alzheimer’s and as I listened to this interview, all I could think of was thank goodness his suffering is over. Call your representatives in Washington and tell them to vote "NO" on this bill.

Page 425 of the Health Care Bill, HR 3200, details a rationing of care for people near death. The exact section that is causing such controversy is on Page 430 and reads:

'An advance care planning consultation with respect to an individual may be conducted more frequently than provided under paragraph (4)

if there is a significant change in the health condition of the individual, including diagnosis of a chronic, progressive, life-limiting disease, a life-threatening or terminal diagnosis or life-threatening injury, or upon admission to a skilled nursing facility, a long-term care facility (as defined by the Secretary), or a hospice program.

A consultation under this subsection may include the formulation of an order regarding life sustaining treatment or a similar order.'

• Page 425: Government will instruct and consult regarding living wills, durable powers of attorney, etc. Mandatory. Appears to lock in estate taxes ahead of time.

Page 425 creates "advanced care planning consultation" and thereby sets regulations for treating those near death. In other words, it rations the care of those near death. Then, there's page 268 where the government regulates the purchase and rental of electric wheel chairs. Page 272 is where care for cancer patients is rationed.

• Page 16: States that if you have insurance at the time of the bill becoming law and change, you will be required to take a similar plan. If that is not available, you will be required to take the gov option!

Answer:You exaggerated more than just a wee bit. Did the big health care organization pay you to post this? Kaiser Permanente getting scared that they may actually have to provide for their members not just build big hospitals in which you die because of stupid mistakes?

Answer:Most people that are old and sick want to die but their children and doctors keep wanting to hang on. The kids because they are selfish and thinking of themselves and the doctors because they are greedy. If it was my parent and they were suffering. I would want to fufill their wishes and i would hope that my children will do the same for me.Stop trying to make it sound so drastic. Do you know how many old people shoot their brains out because no one will listen to them when they say that they want to die in peace and that they are tired of doctors poking and pulling on them. What kind of a life will a person have lying in a bed pooping on themselves,looking at the ceiling and wondering why sally or bobby haven't been to see them in a week. Old people are also scared that they will run out of money before they die because of high medical cost. Old people have pride and do not want to live knowing that their bills will be left behind for their kids to pay or that everthing that they worked so hard for all their lives will be lost to medical bills instead of handed down to their kids. Sorry for the rant but I could go on and on. I support President Obama on this 200%

Health Care for ALL???
On page 425 it says in black and white that EVERYONE on Social Security, (will include all Senior Citizens and SSI people) will go to MANDATORY counseling every 5 years to learn and to choose from ways to end your suffering (*and your life*). Health care will be denied based on age. 500 Billion will be cut from Seniors healthcare. The only way for that to happen is to drastically cut health care, the oldest and the sickest will be cut first. Paying for your own care will not be an option. Interviews* > * *

Just warms your heart doesn't it. Medicare is failing and they want to put everyone on a program. What goes through there minds to think they can do it everyone, when they cann't do it with a few.

I love there double talk. Page 72: All private healthcare plans must conform to government rules to participate in a Healthcare Exchange.
Gives you hope to get something other than obamacare, but then Page 84: All private healthcare plans must participate in the Healthcare Exchange

That means no choice. Then to concrete that it's not your choice. Page 145: An employer MUST auto-enroll employees into the government-run public plan.

But if you are lucky enough to have insurance, they can say it's not good enough and Page 167: Any individual who doesn't' have acceptable healthcare (according to the government) will be taxed 2.5% of income.

But don't worry it's not a tax Page 203: "The tax imposed under this section shall not be treated as tax." If a business make over 400k, they can be fee'ed up to 10.2% just for healthcare, if you don't goose step inline with the government.


If your a Dr or nurse, aid, tech anything, Page 127: the government will set wages. Seems funny, here is the kicker. Page 241: Doctors: no matter what specialty you have, you'll all be paid the same. This includes everyone who is related to the healthcare field.

The next 20 pages is anyone working in the healthcare filed, not just Dr. Page 298: Doctors: if you treat a patient during an initial admission that results in a readmission, you will be penalized by the government.

And the grand finally of why this government will either grind us up and destroy us or we as a people will rebel and throw everyone out of Washington.

There is alot of things to go over in this bill, but this is the total 100% unacceptable parts. I honestly think Barry is a closet republican who wants to give his party a clear slate for the next 20 years. After the stimulus, and this, Democrats will very doubtful even carry a quarter of the seats in both houses. And anyone running against him in 2012 is a given. You could run Chaney/bush 2012 and I figure they would win. He's like carter on speed. Because noone would put this even in gest on paper, unless they want to destroy the party behind it. When this gets overage over the recess, it will destroy everyone who has agreed with it.

Does anyone in the government honestly believe that doctors are going to go along with this? If they think there is a doctor shortage now, just wait a few years. why would anyone would want to become a doctor if their income is limited by the government? Why would they spend thousands and thousands of dollars on their medical education and then not be able to make more money by excelling in a particular field? Is this going to eventually lead to government- ordered vocation choices? Might sound crazy, but a few years ago this health plan would have sounded crazy too. We are headed down a very slippery slope,I'm afraid.
Kind of ironic isn't it, that for years that the medical field has conducted research and improved health care to the point where people are living much longer. Then the government tells us we're living TOO long and they are going to help us out of this world whether we want to go or not! God help America!

If the Senators dont read the health care bills of a 1000 plus pages long and study them what are they doing in DC. We need to call and write to them and demand that people in America want to know and let us vote on this state by state.
