Can anyone give me some information about if Marlinton ever had a hanging. Also if the bank was ever robed. I am talking back in the late 1800 or earl7 1900. Any and all infor would be great.

Try googling huntersville wv jail. That is where the prisoners were for that area during the time frame you note.

I am going to go out on a limb, but I would assume by the late 1800's the only hangings (and other means of a death sentence) would take place at the old WV State Pen in Moundsville. However if you are able to find proof otherwise, as well as any info on bank/train robberies I would love to hear about them..._Son
