Labour in the Lead by 5 points!

Here are the latest YouGov GB polling figures.

Labour: 42% (up 12 since general election)
Conservatives: 37% (no change)
Lib Dems: 10% (down 14)

Labour lead: 5 points

Looks as if the great British Public may have rumbled the Coalition's completely daft financial policies

Re: Labour in the Lead by 5 points!

Regretfully not because Labour is any good, rather that the Coalition is fast becoming useless!

What the country needs is a strong apposition and opposition Leader (Ed Balls perhaps?) to make Cameron work by getting rid of Clegg or else give Clegg the ultumatum, join the Tories or get out.

Re: Labour in the Lead by 5 points!

No way!...if Ed Balls was running this country i'd leave!!!

Re: Labour in the Lead by 5 points!

Didn't say that A L, I said 'In opposition', ED Balls is the last person I would want running the country, after Blair and Brown.

Re: Labour in the Lead by 5 points!

I am a Labour voter but even i have to admit that the coalition combined is 47% compared to 42% for Labour.

So we are going in the right direction but how much better it could be if Labour were able to present a more viable alternative leader and leadership team.
Dont get me wrong i think Ed Milliband has alot of good points but may not be the best option for leader.

Re: Labour in the Lead by 5 points!

I think Yvette Cooper should have taken the lead,
She is tough and alot brighter and believable!

This after 10 years of dragging the country to the state it's in ??????
Has Milliband made ONE suggestion on what HE would do to clear up his party's appalling "Financial Policies"
-or haven't the unions told him yet?
Which brings us to this point:-
Balls? A good name for them !!!!

Re: Labour in the Lead by 5 points!

Doesn't look like there will be much left when Cameron has finished!

We will have no debt maybe, but we probably wont have any business's left either!

And whats the point of having high VAT if no one is spending?

He would probably get as much revenue if the VAT was lower and more were spending!

I think we will be more in the Poopy the longer they keep the no growth attitude!

And robbing peoples pensions just before they retire when they have worked hard all their life, Thats if they can retire before 70 if he has his way.(I wonder if his pension is affected or his retirement age)

It would be nice to see a time scale on the plans as they seem to be pretty open ended, and it was supposed to be all cuts for a short period that seems to be getting longer and longer!

I think they have the idea of keeping their heads down and hoping no one will notice how skint they really are for a while.

Banks STILL not lending!(Nothing done there then even when we own them!)

NO growth!(Doesn't Care!)

Business's going down the pan daily!(No bail out for them!)

Expensive wars we can ill afford (Didn't Cameron say he didn't want the wars before he got involved in a new one!)

Anyone who thinks Cameron is repairing this country is mistaken, He is just knocking it down to build a new one(I wonder if he has planning permission! He didn't tell me he was going to ruin it first!!)

Pretty depressing really, especially when they got in on a technicality!

WELCOME TO NOT SO GREAT BRITAIN

Re: Labour in the Lead by 5 points!

Do you seriously think these companies are going to the wall because of what has happened in the last year?!...I'm sure there are things that are not happening at the moment but it has taken several years to bring these things to their knees

Re: Labour in the Lead by 5 points!

Ive been reading about the Nissan plant in Sunderland, its a real success story, employs thousands on Tyneside and more in the supply chain nationwide - Nissan was lured here by the Conservatives in the 1980's ... cant think of any big employer labour can parade apart from investment banks and hedge funds.

Everyone knows the Conservatives are good for business - lower taxes and less regulation.

Most Tory bigwigs are business men themselves.

Re: Labour in the Lead by 5 points!

Poll figures are meaningless.
