THE VOICE CONNECTION
SOUND OFF

Welcome to The Voice Connection Sound Off; a forum for users of books like Raise Your Voice, Melody to Madness, The Ultimate Breathing Workout, and Unleash Your Creative Mindset, as well as a place for Vendera Vocal Academy members to interact.

This message board was created so that singers could come together and "sound off" to help support each other during vocal development and the creative process of unleashing the creative spark that occurs when writing and producing music. Currently, myself and vocal coaches Ben Valen, Ray West, and Ryan Wall are here to respond periodicially to your questions, with new vocal coaches coming soon. But, feel free to help each other too:)

This board is here for you to ask questions about my and my fellow coach's books, videos, and MP3 programs, as well as offer others help with our vocal techniques. You may also post videos of yourself and your band to share your music and ask for critiques.

Please refrain from negative comments, profanities, spamming, and inappropriate criticisms of vocal methodologies, vocal coaches, and singers. All negative posts will be deleted and subject to banning without question. I will not respond to negative posts, because, as Mark Twain once said, “Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.” With that said, positive criticism is welcome because that is how you'll grow as a singer during the training process.

Re: How does one do the "bullfrog"?

Here's how you learn to do it:

Buy Jaime's book, and then you'll know.

It's not fair to Jaime for anyone to tell you how to do it. After all, many, if not the vast majority, of us learned it from him. So, in loyalty to Jaime - I say buy the book. It will be one of th best investments you will ever make as a musician.

The book explains it and the Members section, which comes with the book, shows it on a video.

i don't have any money to do it... i guess i will have to sing with a high larynx then...

Re: How does one do the "bullfrog"?

Well, then you had better start saving your pennies.

Just take a jar and put your change in it. When it's full, you will have the cash to buy the book.

Heck, before I bought the book - I bought the E-book.

So maybe you should go that route, since it's lower in price.

When you get the book (or E-book) you will realize how great it is. I've contemplated Brett Manning's system, and I bought his home video for like $25.
It was really kind of a waste of money because I already knew what he was talking about on the video - I learned that from SLS.

Jaime's method is definitely the way to go if you want to sing Hard Rock and Metal.

I'm sitting here listening to Iron Maiden and singing along with Dickinson, and let me tell you - it feels great to really finally be able to "lay into" those vocal lines.
