THE VOICE CONNECTION
SOUND OFF

Welcome to The Voice Connection Sound Off; a forum for users of books like Raise Your Voice, Melody to Madness, The Ultimate Breathing Workout, and Unleash Your Creative Mindset, as well as a place for Vendera Vocal Academy members to interact.

This message board was created so that singers could come together and "sound off" to help support each other during vocal development and the creative process of unleashing the creative spark that occurs when writing and producing music. Currently, myself and vocal coaches Ben Valen, Ray West, and Ryan Wall are here to respond periodicially to your questions, with new vocal coaches coming soon. But, feel free to help each other too:)

This board is here for you to ask questions about my and my fellow coach's books, videos, and MP3 programs, as well as offer others help with our vocal techniques. You may also post videos of yourself and your band to share your music and ask for critiques.

Please refrain from negative comments, profanities, spamming, and inappropriate criticisms of vocal methodologies, vocal coaches, and singers. All negative posts will be deleted and subject to banning without question. I will not respond to negative posts, because, as Mark Twain once said, “Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.” With that said, positive criticism is welcome because that is how you'll grow as a singer during the training process.

Re: How to become a member

Thank you very much.
I plan to work through the book, not with the hope of competing with the hit vocal talent in the world, but just to be able to sing my own demo's in a more credible way for my wife and other potential singers of the next "Grandma got run over by a Reindeer" that is surely soon to be written by me and my wife. It's coming soon! Dave, I can feel it!

Re: How to become a member

Those two coaching sessions on video are pure gold. I am going to be working with them quite a bit I think. I can't wait to read the book now. I am one of those that can't do lip bubbles without holding up the corners of my mouth with my fingers but when I do that it works. I actually feel hope that I have acquired a new musical instrument that I could master with practice. Of course I haven't laid down any practice tracks yet.

The other videos were interesting and informative too.

Thanks.

Wassup,
Thanks for the compliments. I will be doing another video soon, that will contain footage of actually working with a pitchwheel and also the non-vocal exercises from the book. I'm sure people will enjoy that:)

jamouse! maybe you should go and have singing lessons! yes maybe you didnt do to well for trying out for choir but belive it or not when i was at school i tried for the choir and i was told i was tone deaf! once you start having lessons you can train your ears to hear notes! try it! but maybe it will take you abit of time but everyone can learn how to do anything!
