THE VOICE CONNECTION
SOUND OFF

Welcome to The Voice Connection Sound Off; a forum for users of books like Raise Your Voice, Melody to Madness, The Ultimate Breathing Workout, and Unleash Your Creative Mindset, as well as a place for Vendera Vocal Academy members to interact.

This message board was created so that singers could come together and "sound off" to help support each other during vocal development and the creative process of unleashing the creative spark that occurs when writing and producing music. Currently, myself and vocal coaches Ben Valen, Ray West, and Ryan Wall are here to respond periodicially to your questions, with new vocal coaches coming soon. But, feel free to help each other too:)

This board is here for you to ask questions about my and my fellow coach's books, videos, and MP3 programs, as well as offer others help with our vocal techniques. You may also post videos of yourself and your band to share your music and ask for critiques.

Please refrain from negative comments, profanities, spamming, and inappropriate criticisms of vocal methodologies, vocal coaches, and singers. All negative posts will be deleted and subject to banning without question. I will not respond to negative posts, because, as Mark Twain once said, “Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.” With that said, positive criticism is welcome because that is how you'll grow as a singer during the training process.

No Guinness World Record for Glass Breaking

I am sorry to inform everyone that I have been officially turned down by the board of Guinness World Records. I am still officially the first documented singer to prove this task without amplification, but Guinness said that they did not have an appropriate catogeory for glass breaking and were not concerned with creating one. They simply didn't find it as substantial as the most hotdogs ever eaten in one sitting, or the world's longest toenails. You would have figured that proving an age old myth would be of interest. But out of the 60,000 entries they receive per year, mine wasn't exciting enough :(

Re: No Guinness World Record for Glass Breaking

What an absolute load of bollocks!

Considering some of the crap they put in there, you'd think the glass shattering thing would be something actually worth putting in.

Re: No Guinness World Record for Glass Breaking

I've always thought I could beat that 3 hot dogs in 2 minutes thing or whatever it is. Soudns like a shit record. You shouldn't get dogged from the book Jaime. But you know how Jim is he may get an award that is weird enough to get in. "Most glasses shattered without the help of amplification whilst submitting the ass out of 3 men"

Re: No Guinness World Record for Glass Breaking

Now that's an award worth mentioning

Re: No Guinness World Record for Glass Breaking

Yes i searched for record like a week ago and i couldn't fint it so i guessed they didn't take u in :-/ i would find that record interesting anyhow

Re: No Guinness World Record for Glass Breaking

Hmmmm.. sounds like we need to get one of those online petitions going ..

Re: No Guinness World Record for Glass Breaking

I know :( There exact words were, " Our staff in charge of creating new records did not find this particular record interesting at this time". Although there is no account of it ever being filmed before me. I do know of a few false attempts made over the past 20 years that were eventually revealed as a hoax :) At least that's good news for me. Ha-ha

Re: No Guinness World Record for Glass Breaking

I agree with everyone here. There has to be something we can do considering all the other nonsense in there. Shattering glass "isn't interesting"? but being the world's most obese man is some sort of achievement? Give me a break!! I mean this was not only a record but was actually thought to be an urban legend until Jaime proved them wrong!!

Re: No Guinness World Record for Glass Breaking

Good Luck, I don't even know where to start. Too bad I don't know Oprah, she'd make let me in :)
