THE VOICE CONNECTION
SOUND OFF

Welcome to The Voice Connection Sound Off; a forum for users of books like Raise Your Voice, Melody to Madness, The Ultimate Breathing Workout, and Unleash Your Creative Mindset, as well as a place for Vendera Vocal Academy members to interact.

This message board was created so that singers could come together and "sound off" to help support each other during vocal development and the creative process of unleashing the creative spark that occurs when writing and producing music. Currently, myself and vocal coaches Ben Valen, Ray West, and Ryan Wall are here to respond periodicially to your questions, with new vocal coaches coming soon. But, feel free to help each other too:)

This board is here for you to ask questions about my and my fellow coach's books, videos, and MP3 programs, as well as offer others help with our vocal techniques. You may also post videos of yourself and your band to share your music and ask for critiques.

Please refrain from negative comments, profanities, spamming, and inappropriate criticisms of vocal methodologies, vocal coaches, and singers. All negative posts will be deleted and subject to banning without question. I will not respond to negative posts, because, as Mark Twain once said, “Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.” With that said, positive criticism is welcome because that is how you'll grow as a singer during the training process.

Ignore the name :D

So when are you going to release your next book? Any special early October release?

Also, does existing members have access to new content from the new book or are we split apart? Will the first book become unsupported?

Re: Ignore the name :D

All people who have purchased Raise Your Voice wil receive an email with a link to the new PDF. It contains ALL of the original information + 40 new pages + about 70 new "Useful Tips' + new audio files + a new cover. So, the book will still be supported. I don't see it being released this month, butr the PDF version should be out in November and hopefully, the print version will only be a few weeks later.

Re: Re: Ignore the name :D

Wow, how's that for loyalty! You are definitely doing this for love and not for money. Huge thumbs up on that.

Re: Re: Re: Ignore the name :D

Thanks for the support. I'm definitley not rich from this :) I have put thousands of dollars into The Voice Connection, and I've just hired a producer to shoot some video lessons for the website. Although they will only be available on the Members Only link, there wil be a lot more money spent on products for the link than will be made from thias addition. This doesn't bother me, because my goal is to spread the word about voice, and I hope that someday this will be the biggest and best vocal site on the planet! All I ask is that everyone helps spread the word about The Voice Connection. That way we can have many people to contribute vocal knowledge to this site :)

Re: Re: Ignore the name :D

This whole forum seems like it is you writing and responding to your own posts. Everyone talks the same. Also, if you want people to believe you about the glass thing, put some videos on the site! Also, I'm curious as to how you sound, please put up some of your own stuff!

Re: Re: Re: Ignore the name :D

He broke glass on national and international television dude. I even got the Mythbusters episode here in Australia of Jaime ******* owning the glass.

I would like you to put some recordings up Jaime of you singing some rock and metal songs.

Re: Ignore the name :D

this is cool. hey jamie you will give tips on
your book like sound color and put effects on
the voice? Like use a light sound and heavy
when needed?

Also i need to have a good ear or anything related
with registers like mix, head voice?

See ya

Re: Re: Ignore the name :D

I show you all of this, whether you are a beginner or professional :)

Re: Ignore the name :D

cool! thanks.

just ask me a question. is not about your book but..

What some teachers means when they say that you
want to train a voice to be 'a thing were no noticeable shifts can be heard when you are singing?'
i hear some singers singing and i can hear their
sound changing but is not a break.. maybe is a style
thing.. but is very cool.. like a singer were on
the beggining of a song he starts with a incredbly
low voice (E2) and on some part he is singing E5!!
LOL!!

like.. its always the same thing? example:
Chest -> Middle --> Head --> Whatever??

All these things confuse me..

Re: Re: Ignore the name :D

They are referring to breaks in the voice, not tonal shifts. There will be a tonal shift as you ascend the scale because the voice and cords become thinner and the resnance moves from chest, through the throat and into the head, Hope this helps :)

Re: Ignore the name :D

Cool!
Sorry for the late reply.

I have a doubt wich maybe some people have too..
I dont know if is something related to technique
X or Y. But lets say ( dont worry i will buy your
book anyway.. lol!! )
that i will buy your book. And i will train ALL DAY!!
I mean i will put all my effort..how much time can
take to me start singing?

Take in mind i never sang before. I just had classical
singing lessons.. but that thing of 'FORCE!!' dont
helped me at all.

Thanks!

Re: Re: Ignore the name :D

That's a question I hear all the time. I say, start singing now! Why do you want to sing??? because it's fun!!!:) Don't let someone take the fun out of it. Sing ALL the time. The program wil help yopu eliminate bad habits, while strengthening the voice along the way. I hate when vocal coaches say it will take years before you are ready. The only way to get better is to sing! :) Vocal training helps improve your singing voice, but you should still be singing. I talk about this in the book too.

Re: Ignore the name :D

okay. just waiting for the update of your book.
