THE VOICE CONNECTION
SOUND OFF

Welcome to The Voice Connection Sound Off; a forum for users of books like Raise Your Voice, Melody to Madness, The Ultimate Breathing Workout, and Unleash Your Creative Mindset, as well as a place for Vendera Vocal Academy members to interact.

This message board was created so that singers could come together and "sound off" to help support each other during vocal development and the creative process of unleashing the creative spark that occurs when writing and producing music. Currently, myself and vocal coaches Ben Valen, Ray West, and Ryan Wall are here to respond periodicially to your questions, with new vocal coaches coming soon. But, feel free to help each other too:)

This board is here for you to ask questions about my and my fellow coach's books, videos, and MP3 programs, as well as offer others help with our vocal techniques. You may also post videos of yourself and your band to share your music and ask for critiques.

Please refrain from negative comments, profanities, spamming, and inappropriate criticisms of vocal methodologies, vocal coaches, and singers. All negative posts will be deleted and subject to banning without question. I will not respond to negative posts, because, as Mark Twain once said, “Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.” With that said, positive criticism is welcome because that is how you'll grow as a singer during the training process.

Hello!

Hello,
I am sixteen years young. Also, a new student of Jaime Vendera. I'd like for this to be my official first greetings to everyone! HEYYYY!
hahaha. Well, I decided that it was time for me to start taking lessons just recently because I felt my progress had come to a stand still. As fellow musicians, I assume that you all understand this is a very depressing thought.. So, I figured if I was going to take lessons.. I needed to find the best vocal coach out there for me.
This is where Jaime comes in
After my first lesson I knew I had made the right choice. Before, it was as if all my drive had diminished in me - I had lost sight of my dreams. I felt like they were out of reach and unrealistic. BRAINWASH! However, after starting vocal lessons with Jaime, all these feelings have been forgotten and left behind. This spoke mutlitudes to me about Jaime. It has truelly been a blessing

Now I'm looking foward to my future and will force myself to be disciplined enough to progress! hahahaha.

Looking foward to getting to know you all!

The new girl,
Angelica

Re: Hello!

Welcome Angelica! Jaime is a wonderful teacher and a very positive person always encouraging people to go after what they want. Good luck with your singing endeavors and I hope to see you here often

Re: Hello!

Hi Angelica,

Don't let it be depressing! We all reach plateaus, that's just a fact of life with everything! The point is, you've chosen the best method to move forward.[;D]

Welcome to the board!

Tim

Re: Hello!

Heyyyyyyyyyy

I'm 16 too :D. Now i'm not the only young person here ;)

Jaime seems out of all big name vocal teachers, to be the most caring one. What other ones give as much free advice as Jaime? So far his book and forum help has shown great improvements in my voice. After a month of doing the stuff, my mother heard me and was wow'd. Also some of my friends that havent heard me in a while noticed it too.

When I feel like i'm stuck and nothing is going better with guitar or singing, I just say to myself; I'm 16 and i'm ahead than a lot of people twice my age. Even if you get better REALLY slowly, by the time your in college, 3 years from now or so, vocally things should be pretty **** good.

Re: Hello!

Andrew, you have no idea how caring Jaime really is.
He's a great guy.
