THE VOICE CONNECTION
SOUND OFF

Welcome to The Voice Connection Sound Off; a forum for users of books like Raise Your Voice, Melody to Madness, The Ultimate Breathing Workout, and Unleash Your Creative Mindset, as well as a place for Vendera Vocal Academy members to interact.

This message board was created so that singers could come together and "sound off" to help support each other during vocal development and the creative process of unleashing the creative spark that occurs when writing and producing music. Currently, myself and vocal coaches Ben Valen, Ray West, and Ryan Wall are here to respond periodicially to your questions, with new vocal coaches coming soon. But, feel free to help each other too:)

This board is here for you to ask questions about my and my fellow coach's books, videos, and MP3 programs, as well as offer others help with our vocal techniques. You may also post videos of yourself and your band to share your music and ask for critiques.

Please refrain from negative comments, profanities, spamming, and inappropriate criticisms of vocal methodologies, vocal coaches, and singers. All negative posts will be deleted and subject to banning without question. I will not respond to negative posts, because, as Mark Twain once said, “Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.” With that said, positive criticism is welcome because that is how you'll grow as a singer during the training process.

Hello! I'm Valerie :)

Since RYV II is being published and I have a tiny part in it, I just wanted to let you know that my real name is:
Valerie Bastien

...cause I'm so excited to be part of this!! Hope you don't mind! Also, I think it's nice for you to know that people from the book like myself, Brandon, Mag, Benoit and others that have contributed are regulars here

Anyway, well done guys; I'll read your parts first! And of course thanks Jaime for letting us be part of your team!

Re: Hello! I'm Valerie :)

You mind including your social security number and your address? I've got a free Macy's gift certificate in it for you!

Re: Hello! I'm Valerie :)

Haha!

Re: Hello! I'm Valerie :)

We knew that, Valerie!
I'm sure we've all faithfully visited your new website(s) and I, for one, am thoroughly impressed by your efforts!
Keep up the great work.
Cheers, Dave.

Re: Hello! I'm Valerie :)

Re: Hello! I'm Valerie :)

gotta read that article of you Valérie... makes me curious !

YEAH for the women on this board !! hehe

Re: Hello! I'm Valerie :)

Alright than! Sorry for this shameless self-promotion!!

Dogears, how come you haven't signed my Guest Book than? Pretty please!!

Re: Hello! I'm Valerie :)

OK Valerie, I just did, it's may look a little odd because of the way the guestbook appears in my browser. You can't really see what each of the 3 input lines represent, maybe the background color needs to be changed or something. I didn't sign earlier because I thought it was still under construction. Check that out and I'm sure you'll get a lot more signings if you change the guestbook template to something more user-friendly.
When you get a chance to update the site, put some of your music up.
Cheers, Dave.

Re: Hello! I'm Valerie :)

I'm working on my recording skills right now :) When I'll have a few songs ready, I'll upload them and let you know. Thanks for taking the time to sing my Guest Book and thanks for the feedback. Can you tell me what browser you're using? I'll double check the colors to see what's going on... Thanks for letting me know (I build the website myself and I'm not a web designer at all so there are still a few things that need to be fixed).

Re: Hello! I'm Valerie :)

I fixed it actually! Thanks so much again for letting me know

Re: Hello! I'm Valerie :)

I write dirty raps. Maybe you can do background vocals for me. It would sure beat singing about myself in falsetto......

Re: Hello! I'm Valerie :)

Hi again. I'm using Firefox. The guestbook looks better and I can now see the questions you want answered but there's still a problem with the background color masking the text below ie: there's some text between brackets underneath (on the Bravenet check boxes) which can't be read, it's probably black text on a black background.
Cheers, Dave.

Re: Hello! I'm Valerie :)

Mmmm... I'll look into it...
