THE VOICE CONNECTION
SOUND OFF

Welcome to The Voice Connection Sound Off; a forum for users of books like Raise Your Voice, Melody to Madness, The Ultimate Breathing Workout, and Unleash Your Creative Mindset, as well as a place for Vendera Vocal Academy members to interact.

This message board was created so that singers could come together and "sound off" to help support each other during vocal development and the creative process of unleashing the creative spark that occurs when writing and producing music. Currently, myself and vocal coaches Ben Valen, Ray West, and Ryan Wall are here to respond periodicially to your questions, with new vocal coaches coming soon. But, feel free to help each other too:)

This board is here for you to ask questions about my and my fellow coach's books, videos, and MP3 programs, as well as offer others help with our vocal techniques. You may also post videos of yourself and your band to share your music and ask for critiques.

Please refrain from negative comments, profanities, spamming, and inappropriate criticisms of vocal methodologies, vocal coaches, and singers. All negative posts will be deleted and subject to banning without question. I will not respond to negative posts, because, as Mark Twain once said, “Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.” With that said, positive criticism is welcome because that is how you'll grow as a singer during the training process.

Alterbridge concert Dallas

Wow Is really all I can say, I went to go check them out with my girlfriend and overheard them practicing hours before the show, I thought I was listening to the cd. When they got up to play, I had never heard someone live with a voice like Myles. I mean he hit ever note perfect and I think at times his voice was too powerful for the system he was singing through. His vocal chords would just zip up so quick and it was effortless to him. We were also in a video they were making a video of ties that bind there and he nails that note and everyone was blown away. But the fact that he ran through the entire song twice and hit the same note perfect shocked me. They played like a 2 hour set and at the end of it he was still singing like a bird so to speak. Another chilling part of the new album is that they allowed myles to really play guitar, and he proves amazing again. He continues to hit every note while playing chops on the same level as tremonti and again he does it with ease. He dosnt steal the show away from tremonti but it works in a good fashion, they compliment each other really well. As far as versatility I heard everything from there old album, new album. Robert Johnson blues covers to AC DC. This band is 100 percent pro and this is rare to see a band of this talent anymore. I mean I really tonight felt I finally knew the difference between raw talent and overproduced studio bands that are a dime a dozen. Another Animal was a band that opened for them and they wernt that bad at all lol. It was really funny some guy kept shouting zebra sex(you have to look at there cd cover) over and over again lol. They kinda had a vibe of a drop d soundgarden musically and vocally a cross between alice and chains and ac/dc. Really life changing show. I was the first to get RaiseYourVoice 1 Ebook, I will be getting the new one
as soon as it is released. Im so inspired!
Take care everybody!

Sounds like an awesome show. I want to check out the record. Another Animal is a Supergroup made up of members of Godsmack and Ugly Kid Joe. They do sound like Alice In Chains.

Re: Alterbridge concert Dallas

Hey Dillon,

Did you read the myles Kennedy "Thank You's" in the new Alter Bridge CD? ;) Yeah that note he hit at the end was because I made him promise me he'd put a few high notes on this CD, haha. True story:0

I really wanted to ask him where he studied bel canto

Re: Alterbridge concert Dallas

He studied with Ron Anderson in LA.

Re: Alterbridge concert Dallas

I think very highly of Myles and Alter Bridge... I'm happy for you that you were there for the filming of TTB. How lucky are you?! That's absolutely awesome Look up our interview with Myles in the interview section if you haven't read it already. You won't be disappointed!
