THE VOICE CONNECTION
SOUND OFF

Welcome to The Voice Connection Sound Off; a forum for users of books like Raise Your Voice, Melody to Madness, The Ultimate Breathing Workout, and Unleash Your Creative Mindset, as well as a place for Vendera Vocal Academy members to interact.

This message board was created so that singers could come together and "sound off" to help support each other during vocal development and the creative process of unleashing the creative spark that occurs when writing and producing music. Currently, myself and vocal coaches Ben Valen, Ray West, and Ryan Wall are here to respond periodicially to your questions, with new vocal coaches coming soon. But, feel free to help each other too:)

This board is here for you to ask questions about my and my fellow coach's books, videos, and MP3 programs, as well as offer others help with our vocal techniques. You may also post videos of yourself and your band to share your music and ask for critiques.

Please refrain from negative comments, profanities, spamming, and inappropriate criticisms of vocal methodologies, vocal coaches, and singers. All negative posts will be deleted and subject to banning without question. I will not respond to negative posts, because, as Mark Twain once said, “Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.” With that said, positive criticism is welcome because that is how you'll grow as a singer during the training process.

He Jaime, Steamer Vaporizer questions.

Hi Jaime,

I have a Cold Mist humidifier made be Reli-On.

I am interested in one that I can use the Bragg's ACV in. Do you think this personal/portable steamer from Walgreens would work? Personal Steamer at Walgreens

Thanks,
Tim

Re: He Jaime, Steamer Vaporizer questions.

I have a personal steamer. In my opinion it doesn't work too well. A warm mist vaporizer works better. Actually, I think a sauna or steaming up the bathroom works better. Are you sick or do you have vocal troubles or both? Throat coat tea works well if your throat hurts.

Re: He Jaime, Steamer Vaporizer questions.

I'm recovering from Laryngitis and Jaime told me to use Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar in a portable steamer, so that I could inhale the vinegar - it will kill the virus.

I'd like to have something that actually heats the water, but doesn't take up a whole lot of space so I can just set it up on the counter in my Bathroom. Then I can just turn that room into a "wet" room, when I need it... but I saw this thing last night at Walgreens and was wondering if it would work.
The cool mist vaporizer is good for getting some water in the air, but there is no... "steam" from it.
It's just a "wicking" filter system with a fan above; I could probably do the same thing if I just set pots of water around and let them evaporate.

Thanks,
Tim

The one from Walgreens os perfect :)

JV

PS- Make sure to dilute the ACV, and I mean DILUTE. I mixed it about 50/50 last night and it was still too strong to inhale. ACV is very potent and can curl your nose hairs ;)

Re: He Jaime, Steamer Vaporizer questions.

Man!

ACV STINKS when you use it in a steamer. LOL
But it definitely works. I just used it for a few minutes and can already tell a difference.
Thanks for that tip, Jaime!
