THE VOICE CONNECTION
SOUND OFF

Welcome to The Voice Connection Sound Off; a forum for users of books like Raise Your Voice, Melody to Madness, The Ultimate Breathing Workout, and Unleash Your Creative Mindset, as well as a place for Vendera Vocal Academy members to interact.

This message board was created so that singers could come together and "sound off" to help support each other during vocal development and the creative process of unleashing the creative spark that occurs when writing and producing music. Currently, myself and vocal coaches Ben Valen, Ray West, and Ryan Wall are here to respond periodicially to your questions, with new vocal coaches coming soon. But, feel free to help each other too:)

This board is here for you to ask questions about my and my fellow coach's books, videos, and MP3 programs, as well as offer others help with our vocal techniques. You may also post videos of yourself and your band to share your music and ask for critiques.

Please refrain from negative comments, profanities, spamming, and inappropriate criticisms of vocal methodologies, vocal coaches, and singers. All negative posts will be deleted and subject to banning without question. I will not respond to negative posts, because, as Mark Twain once said, “Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.” With that said, positive criticism is welcome because that is how you'll grow as a singer during the training process.

Do you think anyone can have an amazing voice with good technique?

Basically what I said in the title? So do you think a singer can be amazing from technique or do you think its more of a natural thing such as certain resonating sinus cavity.

Re: Do you think anyone can have an amazing voice with good technique?

My guess is that Jaime V. is gonna say yes - it is absolutely positively possible for anyone to develope a great voice with good technique if they want it bad enough and practice hard enough. If I'm right, I win 32 thousand dollars...

Re: Do you think anyone can have an amazing voice with good technique?

you have to ask yourself what makes a great singer to answer that question, it is very largely subjective, but most would agree that great singers sing with lots of overtones, which can be taught.. so, my answer would be, yes.

Re: Do you think anyone can have an amazing voice with good technique?

In my opinion, if you talk about the tone quality (not the range)of the voice thats something that comes from the resonance in the sinus.

Re: Do you think anyone can have an amazing voice with good technique?

An amazing and dedicated person makes an amazong singer. For me to say that this technique would make anyone an amazing singer would just be some schmuck trying to sell a book. I can say that this technique can create a better vocal instrument for anyone who applies the techniques and exercises. But to become an amazong singer invlolves so many facets to the production of the voice, that it is up to the individual to make that journey:)

Re: Do you think anyone can have an amazing voice with good technique?

When i watch a singing i judge them on their singing, and their voice which are completely different things. I have heard singers who have incredible technique, so their singing is amazing, but the sound of their voice is bad. And then the other way around where some people have incredible sounding voices, but have no technique, and no range etc
So personally i think that not everyones voice can be amazing, even if they have the best technique in the world.

Re: Do you think anyone can have an amazing voice with good technique?

how you like the sound of the voice, lee, is based on your opinion, other people will probably think that same singer is good

Re: Do you think anyone can have an amazing voice with good technique?

An amazing voice is a matter of opinion. If this weren't true, we wouldn't have thousands of singers in different genres with millions of fans. It is personal taste of that listener's ears. That's how Bob Dylan made it ;)
