Welcome to The Voice Connection Sound Off; a forum for users of books like Raise Your Voice, Melody to Madness, The Ultimate Breathing Workout, and Unleash Your Creative Mindset, as well as a place for Vendera Vocal Academy members to interact.

This message board was created so that singers could come together and "sound off" to help support each other during vocal development and the creative process of unleashing the creative spark that occurs when writing and producing music. Currently, myself and vocal coaches Ben Valen, Ray West, and Ryan Wall are here to respond periodicially to your questions, with new vocal coaches coming soon. But, feel free to help each other too:)

This board is here for you to ask questions about my and my fellow coach's books, videos, and MP3 programs, as well as offer others help with our vocal techniques. You may also post videos of yourself and your band to share your music and ask for critiques.

Please refrain from negative comments, profanities, spamming, and inappropriate criticisms of vocal methodologies, vocal coaches, and singers. All negative posts will be deleted and subject to banning without question. I will not respond to negative posts, because, as Mark Twain once said, “Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.” With that said, positive criticism is welcome because that is how you'll grow as a singer during the training process.

Adam Lambert

Will somebody explain this guy to me? I mean i should not come of the room practicing 12 hours non stop to reach his level. How the hell can a person build so much singing muscle? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXvSA6QL7Ac Its all full voice , at least i think , right?

Adam Lambert is a BEAST!!!!!!
I somewhere read that he has trained like an athlete all his life to become the stunning, world class singer he truly is!
I mean that guy is in top physical condition and hits those high notes with such little effort!
I also read that he managed to do 113 shows in a row without any breaks in 2010!!!!
Rushing around on stage, nailing every high note without straining and doing all that stuff 113 times in a row, what an amazing singer!

By the way Val, aren´t you a big Gotthard fan?
Steve Lee is my all time favourite singer together with Bruce Dickinson! and I am sure you´ve heard that Gotthard has found a new singer, Nic Mäder, and are back on the road while releasing their new album firebirth in the beginning of june!
Have you listened to Nic yet? if so, what do you think about him? I think he does an amazing job and sounds very similar to Steve, although I still prefer Steve ;) I could be wrong but I find Nic´s voice a little bit weaker in some parts of his range but dude, he was grooving in the chorus of Need To Believe which is sung between F3sharp and G3sharp!
I don´t know how he sounds on the other Gotthard tracks but he nailed that chorus for sure ;)

Yes , Gotthard and Steelheart are my all time favourite bands. Can u give me a link where u red that article about Lambert training to become the best there is? I wanna read it. Thx

Quit worrying about whether or not he is gay.

Do you feel the same way about Mercury and Halford?

Adam Lambert is an exceptional singer. While I'm not a fan of his music, I will readily admit that he is simply an amazing singer.
