THE VOICE CONNECTION
SOUND OFF

Welcome to The Voice Connection Sound Off; a forum for users of books like Raise Your Voice, Melody to Madness, The Ultimate Breathing Workout, and Unleash Your Creative Mindset, as well as a place for Vendera Vocal Academy members to interact.

This message board was created so that singers could come together and "sound off" to help support each other during vocal development and the creative process of unleashing the creative spark that occurs when writing and producing music. Currently, myself and vocal coaches Ben Valen, Ray West, and Ryan Wall are here to respond periodicially to your questions, with new vocal coaches coming soon. But, feel free to help each other too:)

This board is here for you to ask questions about my and my fellow coach's books, videos, and MP3 programs, as well as offer others help with our vocal techniques. You may also post videos of yourself and your band to share your music and ask for critiques.

Please refrain from negative comments, profanities, spamming, and inappropriate criticisms of vocal methodologies, vocal coaches, and singers. All negative posts will be deleted and subject to banning without question. I will not respond to negative posts, because, as Mark Twain once said, “Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.” With that said, positive criticism is welcome because that is how you'll grow as a singer during the training process.

Just got my upper range to work in full voice (and extra)

Wow, yeah, it feels amazing! It just suddenly clicked and I learned how to add resonance so much that all my neighbors heard me for sure. It's awesome, because I couldn't sing very loud before, but now it's possible.

My voice is still a bit wobbly there, and sometimes it just goes back and forth between full voice and more like loud falsetto, but I'm really getting it now. TT is very useful.

Also, I noticed that support indeed is very powerful tool to keep that full resonance there. Great development here, I'll keep you updated! Maybe even post some audioclips.

Oh and yeah, we just released an EP with my band few weeks ago. Check it out! Our music is like electronic hiphop/pop/rock -kinda stuff, so far all of our songs are demos and very pop'ish, but we're working on some heavier material aswell.

I'm the one who sings. The other vocalist is a rapper and live MC. It's in Finnish, but you get the drift. Recorded few weeks ago, when my upper register/head voice wasn't so developed yet. Not going to record these again though, unless we go to a real studio. All of these are produced and recorded by me in my room.

Hey buddy, I was just kidding with you. Are you from Europe? I like your music. Your voice sounds fine to me!

Re: Just got my upper range to work in full voice (and extra)

Hey Ben by the way, do you realize, that you haven't showed us yet, how to hyperlink things? You just always write: just type before your link and then after......but as you write those things, you just make "before your link an then" look like hyperlink, so we can't see what are those things we should write before and after the link

Re: Just got my upper range to work in full voice (and extra)

Awesome! Resonance is what carries your voice and adds to volume. Keep it up!

Hey man! Sorry about that
Type:

insert your link

then type

enter all of that in one line with no spaces. That should do it. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
