THE VOICE CONNECTION
SOUND OFF

Welcome to The Voice Connection Sound Off; a forum for users of books like Raise Your Voice, Melody to Madness, The Ultimate Breathing Workout, and Unleash Your Creative Mindset, as well as a place for Vendera Vocal Academy members to interact.

This message board was created so that singers could come together and "sound off" to help support each other during vocal development and the creative process of unleashing the creative spark that occurs when writing and producing music. Currently, myself and vocal coaches Ben Valen, Ray West, and Ryan Wall are here to respond periodicially to your questions, with new vocal coaches coming soon. But, feel free to help each other too:)

This board is here for you to ask questions about my and my fellow coach's books, videos, and MP3 programs, as well as offer others help with our vocal techniques. You may also post videos of yourself and your band to share your music and ask for critiques.

Please refrain from negative comments, profanities, spamming, and inappropriate criticisms of vocal methodologies, vocal coaches, and singers. All negative posts will be deleted and subject to banning without question. I will not respond to negative posts, because, as Mark Twain once said, “Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.” With that said, positive criticism is welcome because that is how you'll grow as a singer during the training process.

Re: Vendera Digital Vocal Coach

If the meeting with the new company goes well, I won't have to worry about it. I was naive with the first few companies and now things have changed so much in just the last few years that the direction for this program is now focused on the app world as opposed to PC software.

Re: Vendera Digital Vocal Coach

Sounds great Jaime, I'm sure it'll work out. Wish you well mate.

Re: Vendera Digital Vocal Coach

Jaime: if possible try to acquire rights to complete source code (all released versions) and design documentations, data files etc...so if it happens that you lose the current developer someone else can maintain your baby.

Re: Vendera Digital Vocal Coach

That's EXACTLY what we ran into with the first company, who came HIGHLY recommended, but they got into some weird stuff, had ALL of their source code stolen and then tried to get me to pay 4 X more (not including the thousands I wasted) to have another designer create it. Been a messy situation and I am very wary of programmers. As far as Yost, they were just wayyyy too slow, and of course I am now again in negotiations. Doesn't matter, I have an idea a minute and I've seen others copy several of my ideas....but it's not the original;)

Re: Vendera Digital Vocal Coach

Jaime,

If you don't mind my asking, what language was it being written in? Any idea? Did they actually make any headway with it?

It seems to me the best way to do it is in modules and then have a User Interface designed that ties all the modules together.

Re: Vendera Digital Vocal Coach

It was designed for PC, but that's being revamped right now by a designer who develops apps. Keep your fingers crossed.
