THE VOICE CONNECTION
SOUND OFF

Welcome to The Voice Connection Sound Off; a forum for users of books like Raise Your Voice, Melody to Madness, The Ultimate Breathing Workout, and Unleash Your Creative Mindset, as well as a place for Vendera Vocal Academy members to interact.

This message board was created so that singers could come together and "sound off" to help support each other during vocal development and the creative process of unleashing the creative spark that occurs when writing and producing music. Currently, myself and vocal coaches Ben Valen, Ray West, and Ryan Wall are here to respond periodicially to your questions, with new vocal coaches coming soon. But, feel free to help each other too:)

This board is here for you to ask questions about my and my fellow coach's books, videos, and MP3 programs, as well as offer others help with our vocal techniques. You may also post videos of yourself and your band to share your music and ask for critiques.

Please refrain from negative comments, profanities, spamming, and inappropriate criticisms of vocal methodologies, vocal coaches, and singers. All negative posts will be deleted and subject to banning without question. I will not respond to negative posts, because, as Mark Twain once said, “Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.” With that said, positive criticism is welcome because that is how you'll grow as a singer during the training process.

Re: Contacting JAIME VENDERA

$100 is absolutely too expensive price for a few advices so I guess I'm on my own, not big deal

Re: Contacting JAIME VENDERA

So why not ask here?

Re: Contacting JAIME VENDERA

$100 is too high in general for only 45-60mins; I mean it's not like somebody will become Caruso after 45min; but hey whatever who has the money to throw in air will buy the service, respect ;)

Re: Contacting JAIME VENDERA

Vocalist,

Pricing is $75.00 for 45 minutes which is cheaper than most pro coaches. Yes you won't become Caruso in 45 minutes but please understand that if I gave you free time, I would be expected to do it for everyone and my schedule keeps me booked;) If you want a lesson feel free to book, if not, it's not a problem, just post your questions on here as this was the purpose of this board:) I will try to answer them on here when I can but as for one on one time, it has to be through a lesson.

Re: Contacting JAIME VENDERA

$65 to $100/hr is not uncommon. I charge only $40/hr and Jaime trained me on RYV if you're interested. You can have a look at my teaching style on my Vocal Tips page here:

That's the best we can offer you for live personalized advice. Otherwise, take your chances and post here.

Re: Contacting JAIME VENDERA

Thx Jaime, thx Oiselle, appreciate your help ;)

E.g. How often should I warm myself up and with what lessons provided in the mp3's and within daily interval; for example I'm having difficulties in reaching rasp and screaming natively and I don't wanna adopt those effects over nodules or other anomalies -> Specifically: I need some stress on my cords to gain growl and rasp effects; I'm not able to do it without stressing my cords first, I do wanna have it natively or in other words to cut everything how to keep my voice in perfect condition for singing without warming up too often and with what lessons provided within the tracks you gave on the site Appreciate your answers, thank you

Re: Contacting JAIME VENDERA

Jaime is not one of those guys who has you keep coming back to him for lessons anyway. In those 45 minutes, he crams so much info into your brain, you actually think you're an amazing singer before you sing anything. He's definitely worth it, bro.

Re: Contacting JAIME VENDERA

: D

where does Jaime live?

I'm planning on saving up money (live in Portugal) and go to wherever he is, have lessons with him for like 3 weeks and then come back xD

Re: Contacting JAIME VENDERA

He lives in Ohio. If you're planning on staying at his place, beware of his cats.
