Thanks to Rose Kelland, we have just uploaded some records for the 'Kind Hearted Brigade Members' posted in the The Weekly Telegraph on January 12, 1929.
The introduction was as follows;
Rules of the Kind Hearted Brigade which members promise to keep:
1. Every member is kind to birds and animals
2. Every member is kind and gentle to everybody
3. Every member is truthful and honest, and will not use bad language
4. Every member is respectful and obedient to parents, teachers, and others in authority.
5. Every member is clean in mind and person
6. Every member is helpful and happy in the home and everywhere...
...If you wish to become a member of the Kind Hearted Brigade, send your full name and address to Captain Trimm, "Weekly Telegraph" office, Sheffield, together with an addressed envelope stamped with three-halpence, to pay for the postage of the handsome badge which will be sent to you free of charge."
