Relationships

What is it about relationships these days?

Are we really supposed to put in 50% - 50% ? I think not. Reading James Redfield's Celestine Prophecy made me think about how we relate to one another more clearly. What he said made sense to me when he states that humans should not go into relationships a half a circle.. Why? Because a half a circle and another half a circle would make one! Furthermore, as I have followed his advice in becoming a full circle...I realize that I do not want to lose my identity anymore. Coming out of a relationship I still feel whole... Does that make any sense?

So I am for everyone giving 100% and 100%. That way no one loses, everyone gains and our relationships can be stronger and healthier...

Anyone else read his books? or Any other books on relationships?

Re: Relationships

In the exploration of the vast and mysterious world of human potentialities the great artists, visionaries and mystics have been trailblazing pioneers. But where they have been, others can follow. Potentially, all of us are "infinite in faculties and like gods in apprehension." Modes of consciousness different from normal waking consciousness are within the reach of anyone who knows how to apply the necessary stimuli.

The universe in which a human being lives can be transfigured into a new creation. We have only to cut a hole in the fence and look around us with what the philosopher, Plotinus, describes as "that other kind of seeing, which everyone has but few make use of."

Re: Relationships

Dodge,

I've read and read your post a couple of times. You do help the cricks and crannies in my brain to come alive, however, I do not grasp the full meaning of your description.

What I do get is that wise men and women have shared their spirituality with us..their growth if you will..and its up to us if we wish to follow our own path using what they have learned to guide us...

I think that's it???

Re: Relationships

I agree. If you give yourself over entirely, you can no longer truly be yourself, and if you are not your true self, than what's the point?

Re: Relationships

Hoosier,

Its true though... I see so many people losing their identities in relationships these days...and then poof once the relationship is over, there is nothing left...

Now that I know who I truly am, and have overcome many obstacles, I promised myself never ever to stop loving myself first. Now, I can truly love someone unconditionally...not wanting to change who they are...

Yet, so many are still at it... Divorces, break-ups, unhappy marriages. As humans, I think our goal is to be responsible for ourselves, and our children... The rest can take care of themselves.

Happy Day..

Re: Relationships

O.K.

I just re-read Dodge's post from May 16th and think I got it now... Crap. A month later. Its about time.

I think what is said is that there are other ways to experience life and relationships in a different dimention. Pioneers in the field have achieved this and it is possible to all of us to tap into that energy and experience a relationship in a spiritual way that may not seem possible in this concrete world.

Yet, I have tapped into those energies more than once and yes it can be an amazing experience..

By God I think I got it!!!

Blessings
