Let me Say This About That

I can see a transformation in the whole expression of reality. Transfiguration comes in regeneration, and in the sense of life comes only when we withdraw from it. I have been given a gift. Is it spiritual or is it physical? The words I dictate to this page are physically manifested for you, but the thoughts in which they originated from, are not. The balance of the whole then, must be equally dispersed in order that they can be given light. The mystery of this and the material in which they are used, is a process of a lifetime. How indistinguished should they be? Is a gift really only a passion? Is there any logic to the use of them? Or are they even in our control? The answer lies in the recognizing of it, then the matter of exercising.

The function of melancholy. Does the world remain remote, strange, sinister and uncanny? Does the color really leave it as we view it as such? One person in an asylum might remark that they view everything through a cloud. Can one touch and not have it near you? Are people only shadows from a distant world? I cry but have no tears. I see but I have no eyes. A mystery that cannot be revealed is a thing of profound depth. But does it always remain hidden? An urgent wondering that I always have found enlightening, is the unreality of life. The substance of the natural world has a strangeness to it. And does our Being really have an aspiration to get out of life? I believe that to be so. As we are commuted to this planet, so is our existence to leave it. From one world to the next, we migrate, leaving only to find we have more knowledge than had we been alive. That to me is more profound than anything else I have ever pondered.

William James wrote, "That there is a divided self and living life is the porcess of unification." I see a universe that is conceived through experience. My view of it is taken from where I have lived. The distortion through media is only a partial sight. Our accounts are only true to us and therefore make us accountable to them. It is the sum of our total worth.

Re: Let me Say This About That

Dodge,

How profound.. I had to read your post twice to really understand what you are trying to say and this is what I get from it.

You say:

"I can see a transformation in the whole expression of reality. The answer lies in the recognizing of it, then the matter of exercising."

Isn't life only but an illusion, created by our spirit to grow and return to God. How I perceive my life is that I am in a process of life, living my passions one by one, fulfilling my existance the way my spirit chose to before I was born into this body, in preparation for my departure. Like a child who is raised by his parents to leave home into a greater world...with the tools of life in his/her pocket. When I was depressed, I withdrew from life, coming back was my greatest accomplishment. My depression was a gift from God.

You State

"The function of melancholy. That to me is more profound than anything else I have ever pondered."

I think that with melancholy the world remains dull and drabby until we are ready to question ourselves, and remember who we truly are. Without 'remebering' we then fall into a 'victim' status and can do so until its maybe to late. When one solves the mysetery then its not hidden anymore..it reveals a whole new life!..Once that life...is lived to its fullest, its not a matter of survival anymore.

Which brings me to your quote:

"That there is a divided self and living life is the porcess of unification." -William James

So that is this..and this is that..

Re: Re: Let me Say This About That

What a great reply you gave. I have always loved women who thought very deeply. Being challenged intellectually is very stimulating to me. Perhaps to sum up my entire rambling, is to state,"life is not what you see--but what you don't see."

The joys of the hidden life far outweigh the mundane everyday sightings. I'm not sure we're really meant to uncover the hidden either. To be a willing victim is different than just being a victim. Imagination fills any void and thus, we create a landscape in which we're citizen and gatekeeper. By your own words I can see a woman with great passion and vivid insight into the world beyond this one. You obviously understand the illusions of this world and living in it to its fullest. As you know already, we really live life out inside our heads, that is where the real life lies.

Re: Let me Say This About That

Dodge,

Thank you very much... Your first post really made me think, and that is why I wanted to reply. I love being challenged myself...and I totally respect an intellect like yourself.

It is true that life is what we do not see at times...when my friends question where God is.. I always reply a quote from Conversations With God... he is nowhere...or if your want to perceive it differently... God is NOW HERE!!.. so. really his existance itself, in an individual life, is how one perceives him....

Warmest light to you to Dodge!
