Thanks for reminding me of the appeals regulations. Like "carrying coal to Newcastle" if you don't mind me saying so.
Please be my guest to formulate the suggestion of a rule for this. Please note, that I put it as a question!
Still, in my opinion, I do have doubts if this is practical for the emergency extra leave. If the player can't be sure of his leave is accepted or not - when the TD gives green light, then I see practical problems coming up.
Note also that I'm not talking about the right for the player who asks for an extra leave, which is rejected by the TD, to appeal against the decision.
Finally, I repeat that in the present rules there is no obligation for the TD to announce the reasons for extra leave. However, if Peter suspects that the players in question have been given unfounded special leaves then he is welcome to email me and ask. He can also ask the players directly. And then he can appeal as much as he like. He seems to be very fond of doing that.
