Hi Gino,
Do you really see the point with what Peter is wishing for? He wish to be able to appeal the TD's decision to grant special leave. Obviously that is why he wish to have the reasons displayed.
Is that really something ICCF wish for? The TD is an objective bystander in the tournament. The special leave reasons are valued by the TD - do we really wish to have their opponents to scrutinize the reasons and then have them appealed? In particular as they are often very sudden in time, it will take time to resolve the appeals. Perhaps revoked and the player who in good faith took the leave as the TD granted, gets his leave revoked and lose the game on time!?
If players would start to send in appeals as they suspect that the TD's decision is incorrect... - see who will gain from making this appeal? Note that Peter tells us that he has succeeded with such an appeal and even forced one of his opponents to withdraw his vacation.
Just make a guess what would have triggered this posting! Yes, you are right! Yours truly TD for Peter has recently granted 2 extra leaves - for completely correct reasons according to the quoted guideline, I might add, but I will not go into details. You know about Peter's agenda from an earlier thread.
Actually, I feel rather sorry for Peter who has so little trust in his fellow CC-players.
Best, Per |
