You are correct.
Regarding email notifications, I decided too many unnecessary ones were being sent to TD's, i.e. start of games notifications, and these will not be sent anymore once the next server update is released.
Regarding email notifications for leaves, this is the first time I hear someone suggesting they are needed, but of course it could be considered. Remember players may enter leaves at will, and cancel them at will as well. That sounds like a lot of emails, when it's so simple to check the leave calendar online.
