Message:   You are correct when you say that there is not a server rule regarding requirement for TD's to inform all players about special leaves granted by them and the reasons. But, do you find an email or postal rule regarding this issue? Do you see anything in the Manual of TD's that makes this a necessity?
You are incorrect that opponents receive no notification. Check the menu above the game screen and follow the link Event/Show oponnent's leave. The different types of leave are shown in different colors: green for regular leave and red for special leave. Another notification: Open the Game list, if your oponnent is on leave, it will be indicated under "status".
