Sorry if this has already been answered here previously, I only check in here occasionally. I have a question regarding the new ICCF rule 3b for server events:
"Valid from 01.01.2007
If a player gets the final reminder after 35 days, he has to report to the Tournament Director and to his opponent within 5 days that he will continue the game. If there is no such a message from the player before or during this period the game maybe scored as lost by the Tournament Director."
Does this rule only effect games _started_ after 01.01.2007, or does it effect games started prior to 01.01.2007, but the rule only came into effect after that date? I am wondering because I want to know if it applies to a server event I am in that started on 15 May 2006. Also how should a player handle an instance where their opponent has been silent for 40 days ... notify the TD? Claim a win?
Thanks.
