I think the time has already been changed to 10/50. That's the rate of play for the next season of the CL and other server and email events. If it's too fast for you don't play.

Now the whining is starting for 10/40. All high rated players in the events want GM's in their sections but with the faster time limits the GM's have to be very careful what they enter so they will have enough time for the important events. Why play the wannabe's when they can wait for events where they play other GM's in the few events the faster times allow them.
