How does what you wrote in any way dispute my comments? You are simply engaging in the old message board tactic of attacking the poster rather than dealing with the material posted.
There is a definate agenda by some to reduce the time to 10/40 or 10/30 from the current 10/50 in the false hope of reducing the DMD. The time in many cases is not the problem. A faster time limit doesn't mean the ICCF will rake in money from entries faster. Most likely the result will be players enter fewer events to compensate for the faster time and then take a long break when the fast event ends or play elsewhere if they find the speed too fast. Not much advantage in blowing ICCF rating points when they can play elsewhere without effecting their ICCF rating.
In any case, since the time dropped to 10/50 I've stopped advertising ICCF events on the over the board message boards. |
