Darren Hayes: I'm very happy at the moment. But not happy in a naive, blissful or greedy way. I'm realistic and grateful for this point in my life. I think the last few years had been a strugge for me personaly.. but writing this record has brought me closer to forgiveness and acceptance and also a sense of ownership over our own joy and misery... It is no accident the things that happen to us and I am content in that

Darren Hayes: I'm very hard to buy for.. I have very specific taste and usually I go out and get the weird, rare or interesting things you might thing to get me... so most people have a hard time at birthday's or xmas for me

Darren Hayes: I think it comes from radio.. this expectation that you have to be one thing.. and then to a certain extent the record company who need to get a handle on exactly what they are selling.. that's why artists like Prince have always struggled to be understood when they experiment...

Darren Hayes: The voice .. hmmm... don't drink alcohol... drink lots of water.. obviously don't yell or talk loud ever... don't talk on planes or in clubs where you have to yell to be heard.. obviously don't smoke or be around it.. and just good placement not just when you're singing but when you speak... most vocal damage happens with the speaking voice not the singing one..

Darren Hayes: Music at the moment is really exciting. I think radio in the u.s is a little boring in terms of how strict playlists have become.. but in general I think music is still revolutionary and ass kicking
