Shore Family of Sheffield
Hello, I am trying to research the Shore Family of Sheffield. So far I have gotten back to :: SIR JOHN SHORE b 1650 d 1682 Sheffield Or bap 08 APR 1638 Sheffield, Yorks b 1638 in Dronfield, Sheffield d 1691 OR 3 Mar 1682 ORd, who married DAME SARAH SIMS b 1648 d 1738 I'm trying to go back further, if it is possible. |

As a Knight of the Realm, I would have thought his pedigree was well documented. Hunters Hallamshire has a pedigree for the SHORE family of Sheffield. I found this at Derbyshire record office which suggests that JOhn SHORE died before 1680, as it describes Sarah as "relict" of John SHORE. Reference: D5369/21/30 Creation dates: 1680 Scope and Content Assignment of mortgage from Dame Sarah Shore, relict of Sir John Shore of Derby, to Robert Wilmot and Barbara Bainbrigge, relict of William Bainbrigge, and Anthony Alsope of Alsop en le Dale, esq, of a parcel of land called Rawston Field in Alsop en le Dale, 10 Sep 1680 Angela You might already has seen the following link. http://www.geocities.com/layedwyer/shore.htm Angela |
