I hope we can help Betty. ***************************************************** Dear elaine thank you so much for answering me i dont know if my bit of information will help in any way my grandmothers name was margaret ann cropper nee grainger her husband was joseph i have found out that they got married in 1880 and did have about 7 living kids kate joseph thomas rose alberthenry and bernard i think they might have lived in or around st vincents and kelham island area she was born as far as i can gather in bray wicklow but i cant find anything about her only from when she was married in 1880 i would appreciate any help you can throw my way we have no photos whatsoever of any family that lived at that time can you believe that regards and love to yours betty |

This looks like the family in 1881 Ct 5 No 2 Chapel Street Atttercliffe *** Darnall, York Joseph CROPPER Head M Male 21 Hull Labourer In Steel Works Margaret CROPPER Wife M Female 22 Sheffield, York, England Treasa CROPPER Daur Female 1 m Attercliffe, York, England James BRODRICK Brother U Male 16 Attercliffe, York, England Brick Makers Apprentice I'm not sure how James BRODRICK fits as a brother unless perhaps Josephs mother was married twice. Also the marriage registration in 1880 lists the bride as Margaret NOT Margaret Ann. Do you have the marriage certificate Betty...? Angela |
