BRASHAW
AS MY PATERNAL LINE IS BRASHAW - FROM HANDSWORTH/DARNALL I AM INTRIGUED AS TO THE 'BRASHAW HOUSES'. ARE YOU ABLE TO HELP WITH THE ORIGIN OF THE PROPERTY (OR ANYTHING!!)? |

Hello Patricia, I have found mention of a Mr Joseph BRASHAW being appointed as a trustee for Darnall Charities in 1858 and the previous year two guardians of Sheffield were acting on the behalf of a Mr BRASHAW in the purchase of land. Can you tell us what you have so far ? we may be able to expand on that Tony Sheffield |

HELLO TONY. THANK U 4 REPLYING. My gr grandfather was Charles Hedley Brashaw. His father was William Brashaw bn 1830 - 1905. His father was Samuel Brashaw bn 1800 - 1859. His father was John bn 1749 John's son John had a son Joseph bn 1826 could this be the Joseph you mention? Cheers Anne |
