Dear parents and students of GAMA,
Several of our students are participating in the National Cherry Blossom Festival Opening Ceremonies in Washington, D.C. on Sat. March 31, 2007.
Katie Hand, Brittany Williams and Alyssa Dwyer will dance as members of the Kodomo Japanese Dance Company . Their instructor is Mrs. Shizumi Shigato Minale originally from Nagasaki,Japan who now lives in Silver Spring. Our students will perform at the National Building Museum at 10AM in the morning. Sensei Tim Gilbert is The Martial Arts advisor to the National Cherry Blossom Festival and he will be attending the Opening Ceremonies. Please make arrangements with Sensei Gilbert to attend this lovely event. This is the 5th year that students from our dojo have participated in the National Cherry Blossom Ceremonies. The National Cherry Blossom Festival Ceremonies are sponsored by the Japanese Embassy, McDonalds Restaurants and Target department stores and WJLA TV station. Linda E. Gilbert  |
