Our good friend Shizumi Manale is engaged in a movie making project called "Children of the Garden, Seeds of Hope". This is a film about the effects that the Atomic Bombing of Hiroshima in WWII had on the Children of Japan. It promises to be a fascinating production. Please call Shizumi if you want to see it.
After the production of this film this year Shizumi has plans to make a film about the effect of the Samauri life on Japanese culture. At this point in time Shizumi plans to use our own student Katie Hand in this film. It looks like this work might involve a trip to Kyoto Japan to visit a Samauri in his Castle on a hilltop overlooking Kyoto Japan. Sound like fun.
