How many drivers plan on racing MOLS in 2008?
It looks like the driver count was 9-11 early in the year then the last race was about 17. With gas at an all time high and the economy slowing down I just wonder how many plan on running this season? Thanks, Mark |

Right now we have 24 paid car owners. Last year we had 3 members, Franklin, Allen and Manchester set out because of health problems and all will be back this summer. Allen returned the last 2 races of the year. Kevin Rupard set out because of his work and he has sadi he will be back this summer. Jason Rackley made the last race and plans on running this summer. Charles Flores set out last year because of an engine problem and we just changed engine brands yesterday (new mounts etc) They plan on running this summer. Devore, Moorehead, Gilbert, Crave, and Scheib are all new and they plan on running this summer. I would think 16 to 20 cars on a regular basis. YOU will be the 25th member. |

WE TOWED FROM SOUTHERN IL. TO RACE 2 RACES WITH MOLS LAST SEASON AND PLAN ON EVEN MORE THIS SEASON. FUEL COSTS ARE EXTREMELY HIGH,AS WE ALL KNOW, BUT WHEN YOU COMPARE THEM TO LAST YEAR IT WILL COST US ABOUT $20 MORE TO TOW OVER THIS SEASON WHICH WE FEEL IS NOT A BAD BANG FOR THE BUCK. WE ENJOYED I-70 SPEEDWAY AND ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO RACING IT THIS SEASON. IF FUEL PRICES ARE KEEPING YOU TO A LIMITED RACE SCHEDULE THROW YOUR CAR IN ANOTHER GUYS TRAILER AND SHARE THE TOW COSTS! DO NOT LET "THE MAN" KEEP YOU FROM ENJOYING THE BEST SPORT IN AMERICA!! KEEP YOUR HEAD UP AND WE WILL SEE YOU AT THE RACES |

I plan on running the full schedule with one car and maybe adding a second car for some of the races in MOLS. Also planning on running 4-6 races with the OMMS with the same cars. Chris # 9s and # 91? |

Plan on making quite a few races with MOLS this year with fuel prices being what they might be. Really depends more on the finances and expenses related to the big sprints though. Tow vehicle fuel expenses and major alky expenses come with those bigger babies. And they don't pay with hoot purse wise. If car count is as high as it sounds like it's going to be with MOLS, it should be a fun class and worth hitting more of their races. We all know that Ligthning Sprints are about the most economical way to go fast. BTW....I was looking at I-70's updated schedule. Seems we only have six races there now? Don't know if it's a typo but three are winged and three are non-winged? Anyone have any input? |

I'm planning on running most of the races this year. May have a few schedule conflicts that keep me away. Sounds like it should be a great year for MOLS with good car counts. I'd like to see the I-70 shows split between winged and non-wing. In response to the other post, I've always thought that running with wings was better for the group. It helps us carve out an identity. I do appreciate what I-70 is doing with promoting open wheel racing. It does make sense to run non-wing there with what they're doing, and it gets us great exposure. Still think that running with the wing sets us apart from the midgets and the 600s that will run there. |

Hope to have this old girl racing this year . May have to get the Heavelow touch put on it. Had a few set backs getting things right. |
