Re: WINGED VS NON WINGED

It's just absolutely FABULOUS racing non-winged until you start letting rubber touch or hook a rut. Then it's "destucto-city." I love non-winged but more stuff gets tore up if cars get airborne as compared to winged.

But some say I'm senile, over the hill and don't know what I'm talking about.

It's all good. I think winged is actually better for the club and our image but I like non-winged too.

Re: WINGED VS NON WINGED

Winged is fun but non wing is pretty dang FUN!...But for these little cars can also be dangerous...Our club ran non winged once and only once... One of our guys took a bad flip or FLIPS (8)destroying his bailey and putting him with a very expensive hospital stay with a broken wrist, concussion, black eyes and other problems with vision and a blood clot in his neck... Without a wing when you go for a ride you flip twice as hard and twice as many times...

Id do it again just... Easy for me to say because i didn't wreck... But sure seen 1st hand the damage it can do...

Re: WINGED VS NON WINGED

Naaaa i dont think its the Car (bailey)... We had a 05 hench at the local midget builders place and he thought the tubing he replaced was dangerous to run evan winged... Heard many stories about the erc chassis being really lite as well... I know the southern Illinois club made some calls to most mini chassis builders and most said they wouldn't recommend running non wing...

Just watch your asses running non winged... Like i said hell i would do it again...Hope everybody got them selves a hans...

Re: WINGED VS NON WINGED

Hey Nick, Hope your fellow racer is doing better.I hate to here about anyone getting seriously hurt doing something we all look forward to doing every week.
Hey Tom, It seems that some of the Missouri Tracks are also trying to force this non-wing thing down our throats.( Lightning Sprints and Full Size Sprints) Don't get me wrong ,occasionally it's fun but we got into sprints to go fast. If we wanted to slide around we would run a modified. They can bump several times a lap and it only bends some sheetmetal. If an open wheel car touches "once" someone's going for a ride!!!
