Protein Supplements.Weight gainer
I currently use Maximuscle Cyclone Muscle & Size ( approx 4 months) and have noticed results. However I would like to see a bigger improvement and Maximuscle suggest that a weight gainer (such as Promax Extreme) would help. I assume that the Cyclone would be an all in one, and am confused as to why I should be using a weight gainer also. I am of slim build, but would like to 'bulk' out a little. Should I stick to Cyclone or use weight gainer as well. Any advise would be helpful. I train 3 x week.

Re: Protein Supplements.Weight gainer
Hi Doug,
I would imagine it's Progain Extreme that Maximuscle have suggested. You'd look to supplement this instead of Cyclone, not as well as. Progain Extreme is basically the same stack as Cyclone, but with marginally more protein per serving and a far greater ratio of carbohydrates, so a larger serving & more calories.
If you're looking to "bulk up" then you'll need to cause a positive energy balance (more calories in, than calories out). Provided you don't overeat at meals (includes supplements) and keep up good training (with a little cardio) then you should retain reasonable condition during your "bulking" phase.
Your transition into "bulking" should also be reflected in your training regime. The increase in carbs will help to fuel these tough workouts and the increase in protein will help you to repair and grow further.
I hope this helps,
MATT

Re: Protein Supplements.Weight gainer
Thanks for the advise Matt, much appreciated. I will switch over to the Progain Extreme, unless you can recommend something of a similar/better quality and it must taste ok !

Re: Protein Supplements.Weight gainer
Not a problem.
Quality wise, you won't find much better. The stack is sensible for your requirements, but multiple products (even combined) can be costly. Subsequently, if cost's an issue, you can create your own stack by buying various supplements (correct amounts of your key nutrients are of primary importance)or by buying in bulk (see below).
Best regards,
MATT
