Gyms in Bristol
Hi all,
Been weight trainning for over a year now to compliment my rugby. Fancy stepping up to do some serious weight training now and i am looking to join a new gym with this in mind, i live in south bristol, but work at north Bristol, so any area would be good. I would like to know if there are any good gyms with the right atmosphere for beginners.
thanks

Hi,
Only just read your message.
Plenty to choose from but all vary dramatically.
I choose to train in Bob's Gym, opposite GymRatZ store. Old 'spit and saw dust' style freeweights gym very popular with local rugby players. It's cheap to train with a friendly atmosphere and a wide range of both age groups (14 - 79 ) and ability.
More importantly, you're likely to get some good training advice which should help your future endeavours.
Regards,
MATT

Re: Gyms in Bristol
I agree with Matt.
I have trained in Bobs for a very long time.
If you are not put off by some "dionsaur" theories on prehistoric training ideas it's great.
Cold in the winter, hot in the summer.
What more could you ask for?
