Re: **** & gut

Hi Chris,
Matt Normally beats me to the replies on the Forum, but he' off for the week, so I get to jump in.

Fundamental rules of losing fat are as follows...

Eliminate the foods and drinks that made you fat in the first place and replace with more "body friendly" alternatives.

e.g. instead of going to the chocolate/crisps machine, grab yourself a protein shake with water.

Cut right back on Carbohydrates, moderate alcohol consumption to perhaps a couple of glasses of wine om the weekend, drink loads of water every day.
replace fruit juices with plain water, and keep lifting heavy weights for all muscle groups.

Initially you will get away with just diet and resistance training, but eventually you will need to add a bit of cardio into the equation to push through sticking points.

You need to eat regularly, and try and get protein with each meal.

When cutting back on carbohydrates, you might want to take something to supress your appetitie.
Our "inferno" product
http://www.gymratz.co.uk/bodybuilding-supplements/item56.htm is extremely effective and is forever getting fantastic review from satisfied customers.

I think that covers the main points.
If I don't get back here before the end of the week, I'm sure Matt will follow up with some more advice next week sometime.

Cheers
Pete

Re: **** & gut

Hi Chris.
Are you curling your wrists over too much when doing dumbell exercises?

One of the best ways I found of developing wrist "strength" or controll was from my Martial arts days.
When punching it was essential to ensure a straight line from the knuckles of the index and 2nd finger > wrist > forearm to elbow. the best way of developing this was pressups on the first 2 knuckles.
Hurts a lot to start with, but with time and determination the abillity to hold the wrist in the right position to maintain contact of only the first 2 knuckles with the floor was developed.
Apart from making the knuckles pretty potent weapons, it also meant you would never hat a bag incorrectly.
If you can't do full body weight on 2 knuckles at first, do half press ups on your knees, and slowly build up to full sets of as many as you can do.
Try and do 10 each day every day untill you have mastered it.
I can still do pressups like htis after 8 years of no martial arts training.
It will do wonders for your "fight Club" goal, just don't beat yourself up over it!

Cheers
Pete
