New product - Reflex Quattro
Reflex have a few new products on the way. One of them being Reflex Quattro Protein.
As the name, Quattro, would suggest the protein blend is made up of four different protein sources - whey, cassein, rice protein, egg white - and so offers both slow and fast release proteins. It's a similar product then to USN's Pure Protein.
Two unusuall additions to Reflex Nutrition's new protein blend is Lycopene and Linumlife (flaxseed), both of which are thought to reduce risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease.
Lycopene is an extract from tomato and is responsable for giving tomato's their red pigment. It's an antioxidant and some scientific research suggests that people with diets high in Lycopene are less likely to suffer from Prostate Cancer. Interestingly, not many years ago Heinz (America) had a consumer awareness campaign alongside Cancer Research of America about the positive affects of Lycopene.
So Lycopene and Linumlife aren't necessarily what you'd be looking for in a protein drink, you just want sources of protein really, but if they're added for the same price as an ordinary protein blend then it's certainly a good thing  .
Taste wise we'll have to update you, but from experience of casein blends I find the creamier texture makes the drink more pleaseant with both water and milk.

Taste test: -
I just had a quick gulp but will make a regular shake this afternoon. We (Me and Pete) are trying Chocolate flavour with water.
I liked the creamy texture and the taste was bland but pleasant . I tend to favour protein blends (normally USN's Pure Protein) as I have most shakes with water. Quattro's consistency and flavouring was probably slightly nicer than USN's Chocolate Pure Protein but Reflex will be hard pushed to top their Vanilla flavour.
Pete tried a full serving of Quattro and didn't seem too impressed with the flavour. That's not to say he didn't like it, but I think Pete will always favour a protein bar  .
A regular customer's just ordered Strawberry flavour Quattro, so I'll let you know his thoughts.

Our regular wasn't impressed with Strawberry flavour and will probably return to the nice flavours offered by Reflex's Instant Whey which, incendently, has seen the release of NEW choc-orange flavour  .
We already have stock if you wish to order .

Flavour taste update:
I am now 50% through a tub of Strawberry Quattro and now find the taste very plesant. Having always favoured the much sweeter proteins, I have now adapted to the alternative taste of this product and actually quite enjoy it!
2 heaped scoops mixed with water mixes really easily even without the mesh in the shaker. Gives around 35g protein and I find, makes a great MRP (while dieting) due to the blends of protein.
I also necked a serving this evening right before walking across the road to have one of my best Legs sessions since setting foot back n the gym.
No strawberry "repetitions", no stomach discomfort, and nothing you wouldn't get from drinking the same amount of just water.
A handfull of BCAA's right after training (because I KNOW my legs are going to give me hell for the next few days) and jobs a good 'un.
