Training

I cycle to work in the morning for 20 minutes and then do my weight training, i just wondered when would be the ideal time to drink my protein shake, also will the cycling effect my gym work.

Hi Chris.
I would say take your protein within about 20 minutess of completeing your gym workout, also taken with some form of simple carbs such as a carb. drink or powder etc.
Alternatively a serving of weight gainer post workout can provide an equally good solution for carbs/protein.

Depending on the intensity of your cycling will depend on the impact it has on your weight training, but oln the whole I would say it wouldn't make a significant difference.

I would also advise to have a protein shake taken with your breakfast prior to cycling to work as this will replenish your "stores" from the night and get some spare amino acids floating around. May improve the speed in which you get to work too!
