Bodysolid Power Rack WPR-78?
Why doesn't anywhere seem to sell this rack in the UK anymore? Everywhere seems to be selling the cheaper Powerline version or the Pro Rack...but where has the WPR-78 gone?
They are still selling this in the states as well as the other 2 Bodysolid racks (as mentioned above), but I can't seem to find anywhere in the UK :(
Although the Powerline version is very similar, the WPR-78 has more adjustment holes and the option of adding a selectorised lat attachment or plate load attachment.
The Powerline on the other hand has only 9 adjustment levels and no option of a selectorised lat attachment.
Very Frustrating

Re: Bodysolid Power Rack WPR-78?
Hello Jay,
There's one distributor in the UK for Body Solid items. They're responsible for selecting and importing the range and supplying retailers like ourselves. The general concensus, I believe, was that both the Powerline Power Rack and Body Solid WPR78 were very much the same, which they are. Subsequently, it was inevitable the cheaper option was chosen in favour to be imported alone.
The adjustment levels, I find, are more than adequate on the Powerline version and the plate load attachment comfortable and easy to use.
If you'd rather have the extra lock out points and a selectorised stack then the Pro-Power Rack is the one.
Pete will probably be able to provide the exact reasoning behind it as once upon a time I believe the WPR78 was imported until Powerline was bought out by Body Solid.
Regards,
MATT

Re: Bodysolid Power Rack WPR-78?
News Update.
I asked Body Solid U.S. about the WPR78 as I thought it was being discontinued anyway. They advise:
Wpr78 will be better known as the ppr200 in the near future.
We have about 3 months worth of wpr78.
I'm not sure how the spec of the ppr200 will vary or indeed the dollar price, but obviously this won't affect U.K. items currently being sold anyway.

Re: Bodysolid Power Rack WPR-78?
Yep, As Matt says, Bodysolid amalgamated with Powerline and certain items conflicted. As there isn't such a big market in the UK for ... well, for most things,I guess Bodypower decided to streamline the range.
The biggest doubt most customers have is with regards to spacing of the holes, but in reality this isn't an issue as even with about 6" between holes, on the safety rail side of things, they are there as an emergency and should be used as such. Set the bars lower than failure point (rather than higher if you fall between holes) and you'll still be able to get out should the set end in failure.
I can certainly say though that everyone without doubt has complemented the powerline rack on being next to perfect, regardless of initial concerns about hole placement etc.
Cheers
Pete
