bb competition dates 2005
I just realised that I haven't posted this years competition dates. The Natural federations (NPA and BNBF) dates can be found below. I'll work out the NABBA and EFBB shows tomorrow.
BNBF:
Scottish Qualifier on 29th May;
Northern Qualifier on 19th June;
Central Qualifier on 17th July;
Southern Qualifier on 31st July.
Britain Finals (entry through qualifier) on 2nd Oct in Edinburgh.

The first BNBF show of the year (Scottish) was won by John Rafferty (overall). I don't know the rest of the results but as soon as the report's up with photos I'll place a link on here.

I haven't got any news on NABBA contests - the easiest way to find out is to call them direct. I heard that Jeff Nutt won his class and overall at this years West and also heard a rumour that he qualified for the European which was being held last weekend. If anyone has any up to date news pls post it here.

I saw the NPA Welsh Open yesterday. I haven't seen an NPA show before but I was very impressed with the overall friendliness that the organisers offered towards both competitors and audience.
The show did not see many in each class, but the athletes were of a good standard. The feedback recieved from the judging panel during the posing rounds will certainly help the athletes in their future competitions. Novices were talked in to their poses, which was a welcome change to just seeing poses ballsed up and the competitor marked down when they needn't be - after all we have a novice class for a reason.

The massive lump that is Alun Davies won Sunday's Heavyweight Class and Overall at the BNBF Southerns. Yours truely finished 2nd in the Middleweight Class and my gym buddy Ian Scammel came 3rd in the same class. Chris Pritchard, also from Bob's Gym, came a well respected 4th in a very tough Juniors Class. Unfortunately, Mark from Reflex Nutrition didn't place in my class but he looked very good, so he'll just have to try (but hopefully won't succeed) in beating us next year. Well done guys!

Apologies for the slow updates. Since my competition I find that I don't follow the results as intensley. Below's the info I've heard and I'll update reports & results shortly.
BNBF Overall won by Chris Nsubuga.
NPA Pro-am won by Rob Feesey.
NPA Britain Overall won by John Hollingworth (I think) - he's a junior!!!
EFBB Lightweights won by Nanu Manu, with natural competitors scooping 3rd, Rob Feesey, and 4th, Dean Garrett. I'm not sure about other placings yet as I haven't looked. I believe local lads Tom Blackman and Barney Dupudsey (spelling?) did well in their respective classes, although I'm told Tom should've placed higher.
I'll have a look round to find out actuall results and placings tomorrow and update this thread.
