Gagged!
Hi guys I'm gagging to tell you guys a secret, but I'm under orders not to do so, until the press release goes on Friday afternoon, when everyone will know, and then I can tell you guys! Needless to say, its grant related and we got it, and I'm more than happy! §tèvë |

Steve, that's extra torture in making you wait until the afternoon, many places doing press releases throw them out at midnight to allow the print media time to run stories. I suppose in these internet times that doesn't matter so much anymore. Still! only 24 hours to go. |

Well, no idea why it didnt make the press, but as the deadline has passed, I guess that I can now tell the world... Survivors Swindon was sucessful in getting through to the second year funding, from the Victims Fund, and were granted £36,900 to continue our work I am so grateful to not have to worry about paying bills, making ends meet, and all the assorted issues that have been faced over the past 15 years, when we got no funding, from anyone Its also good that male survivors are now being recognised, that we are here and need the support to do the work we do, as our workload is increasing by the day, as more and more guys come forward, for the help and support they need and deserve §tèvë |

Well done Steve, I am so pleased for you, and all at Swindon Survivors. It's a very worthy cause that deserves it. |

Yep congrats Steve though actually since this was about funding it's the perfect place to repeat my question about Everyclick, I've had half my question answered because the site updates its total every month on the search page, but is that actually helping at all? Let me know, I've got another six weeks before my therapy "goes private" essentially. |

...and didn't finish my sentence...when I "go private" I'll have to think of other ways to raise money for either London or Swindon, with Swindon's wider range of net links you'll get money when I buy stuff anyway. |

Congratulations Steve. I know how tough it is when you're running a small not-for-profit charity, and you're juggling fund-raising and the therapeutic work. It's really tough, and is one of the reasons I admire guys like you, and your dedication. So glad it's eased the burden for a little while at least. Take care, John F. |
