FAO Steven - self esteem stuff
Steven Was looking around for this given your general job situation, found an article on self-esteem, might work might not, take a look: http://ririanproject.com/2007/02/01/wake-up-feeling-great-with-these-22-tips-for-high-self-esteem/ If that's no good, will check around for anything else. |

It is easier said than done, but I characterised everything as a fight whether I needed to or not until recently and frankly, the wrong fuel for positive self esteem - anger and the hunger for money - well some days one or both will just have to do. What boosted my self-esteem today? I'd been hanging on to some job related material for five years in total, got rid of 70% of it in previous spring clearouts, the other 30% was sitting around. Spent today splicing them up into the relevant bits, and then walked the rest to the recycling bins. So I literally binned part of my past, for good. Now work wise I can do and apply for anything again. I needed that kick because it's been a week since it was made official and I still hadn't started applying for new work. No more denial, change is happening. So if something's been nagging at you apart from the usual and you feel like crap, go off and resolve it. No self-beatings over not doing that clearout of old job stuff on the first day off I had this week when I took a complete rest- it's done now. |
